just go into your options on hotmail and it changes all your msn passport (ie messenger, hotmail, etc) passwords.

Steve300zx account has been Hacked also, he just sent me some links via MSN, Which I didn't click on. I phone steve, and he was baffled, saying they didnt come from him.

Came in from work at 02:00am this morning to find 3 MSN messages on my PC.

First was from kirbz with a link attached (think the link was something about "find out who blocked you on MSN"). Message from JoelyP was a request to add him to my contact list and the third was a nudge from MAC.

Spoke to Joel this morning and he didn't send the request.

Completely baffled

I have removed all MSN software from my laptop for now.

Yeh i removed all the msn and re installed it and changed my password to something a little more complicated so fingers crossed it wont happen again.

Sneaky *******os these little hackers!!!

You have had the same thing as me. you only get the bug if you click the link and then put in your details on the finding out who blocked you thing. thats how they get your password and can log in as you to send the links to everyone. changing the password should sort it and not clicking the links will ensure you dont get it.

It seems to be spreading round like wildfire, understandably as it is so simple and sends the link to all your contacts.

Problem now is I've deleted all the software, created a new hotmail account with my new email address and re-installed MSN Live Messenger. I've now lost my contact list

hmm these so called hackers rotfl ...dont suppose anyones got any ips to give me a lead then ill get em permanent as all they use is proggies and i know a man that can sort them faster..msn pass hacker proggy they use kids with nothing else to do

you dont need to uninstall, create a new account or anything. just changing your password will stop them getting in there. If you start a new account you will loose all your contacts and have to start again.

another cautionary tale, my normally very careful girlfriend had an email sent from her hotmail account to everyone in her address book advertising radiators or something which was pretty embarrasing for her. if they are in your messanger account then they are in your hotmail email account to. changing your overall msn passport password should sort it all.

Where's the club MSN contact list gone?

Cannot find it

I've lost all my friends    LMAO

these are a bit more sinister than kiddies, infact I would recommend anyone just ignores rather than trying revenge tactics as you are usually going to be dealing with organised criminals these days,

oh and steve, your new address keeps sending me a random link then another msg saying bye
