We as a club would like to do something for Harry -we can't promise anything big, but we would really like to do something to bring a little extra brightness into his life while he and all of his family are going through a rough time.

 

Its been discussed in the mod room and have also run it by John (RedZed) and we would like to start a collection going for Harry and get him something from all of us to show he is in our thoughts and that we wish him a speedy recovery. We will also get a big card and print off 'get well' messages from various members and stick them in it.

 

Any donation will be greatly received.

Just a thought, should you be using a bank transfer and be considering an amount identical to a typical subscription, please could you make it just a penny different - it's a nightmare sorting out those as the reference information often gets stripped as it goes from bank to bank. Thanks.

Hi,

Please don't be annoyed at me.Last night I

told Harry how you had organised a collection

for him.(just thought that its fairer for him to

make his own decision)

I told him that you and the other members

had so kindly raised a great deal of money to get

him something really special such as his own laptop

or a PS3.

He was absolutely over the moon and I mean over

the moon.I had to show him the post,as he couldn't believe it.I've not seen him beam such a smile in such

a long time and it has been pretty constant ever since.

Must admit (remembering this is a lad who will be only 10 in June) He said "Dad I just feel so guilty,why

would these people do this,when they dont even know me ?" "I don't feel I deserve all these peoples

money ." Believe me I could see in his face he genuinely felt unworthy of accepting this.

I said to him "All these people are really kind and

want to show they care and appreciate what your going through and if they didn't think you deserved

it,it wouldn't have happened."

I wish I'd told him sooner instead of trying to

ease info out of him.I thought he'd want his own

laptop but no he knew already about the different

PS3's and a 60 GB UK version is what he said does

everything and would be his bestest ever present.

Tried but no swaying him towards laptop.Now I've

had a quick scan and can see,yes the 60 GB UK version is the one.Only trouble is getting one would

be a different story as looks like ebay is only way.

Please let me know your thoughts as I would sooner

the decision be made by all of you that have kindly

made this happen.
