has anyone ...............

changed the shifter on a auto ,i'm tired of looking at that manky nissan job,i was wondering if its a doddle ,or an all day job? :confused:

lol ! thats an early next year job for me ,its about 1600 quid innit ?

 

i hate the auto box ,i always think its going to let go ,which it has done once. :headvswal

10 min job. It all just unbolts from inside, and there is just a Clip holding it to the gearshift selecter on gearbox.

hmm...interesting...but it is a bit 'blingy' as posted above! Cheers for the link though...but think I'll have to keep searching....

I had a look at a guys 200sx where he'd put a manual geernob and leather gator on an auto, it looked good!! Just need to re-locate the overdrive button but the wire is about 25cm long iirc, only trouble would be it wouldn't lock in park or from going into reverse by accident etc as you'd have to have the selector button permenantly on

thinking about it, you could mount the manual geer knob so that you just pust the whole lever down to go through park etc, hmmmmmm sonds like a plan to me!!

i'm sure smithy had a better one than that ,the one above is razo style not the pukka article .
