i need the tracking doing on the zed but i've been told its not adjustable, i'm getting ware on the inside of the tyres on the fronts only , the rears are perfect and it has'nt been lowered, can it be adjusted??? thanks in advance, Chris.

The camber can't be adjusted on a stock Zed unless you have adjustable arms fitted. The toe can be though.

Yes if you want to increase the camber at the front; you can just add shims, which is what I did.

if you want to decrease the camber; then you might need a kit with longer bolts and shims to suit.

I run mine with about 2 deg. neg front and 1 deg rear, with a bit of toe out front and 0 rear.

Toe in/out can be adjusted through the track rods.

Pro tyre set it up for me; about £60 a few years ago.

yeah cheers guys i think its the toe that needs doin

In that case, its adjustable as standard and any Tyre fitter garage can adjust it.

Camber is the main cause for the tyre wear on the inner edge from lowering or sagging springs, and requires Adjustable arms or the Shims mentioned above.

if it turns out to be the camber how much are the kits

also i've just remembered that the steering wheel is off centre in a straight line it sits to the left if this makes any difference

anyone?

Worn tension rod bushes can also cause wear on the insides. Toe is easy enough to set for any half competent tyre place. The steering wheel could have just been put back on off centre though bud ;)

I also discovered one mine that the OEM top arm bushings wear, increasing negative camber so theres something to look at while your there. I was lucky i spotted it as one has even worn so much it was just flapping about in the bracket. not only has the bush worn but the rod had wear where the long bolt sat, casuing movement.

cheers guys i'm gonna put it onthe machine at work tommorrow and check it out, is it possible for you to take a quick look when i drop it off in april Andy just to see if they are worn. there'd be a few stella's in it for ya :duffer: :D

Absolutely no problem at all bud :)

Cheers,

Andy
