Just got the zed back from the garage where it had a 60k service. I had bought all the parts myself all I paid them for was labour and a couple of litres of antifreeze.

Oh, they also checked out my actuators/wastegates were operating properly. They were working, so to stop the overboosting they disconnected the EBC. So now I am back to safety boost!

Guess how much that cost me?

£450 a random figure plucked from my head

at least you know the system is sealed and your ebc was the problem!

Disconnect the wiring on the stock boost solerniods and you get actuator psi, which should be about 7.

Well I wasn't expecting to pay more than around £200 but I think I have muppet written on my forehead. with the labour for the few extras and not forgetting VAT it came to £600!!! EEeeek

Yeah, at least I can drive it knowing that I wont get any detonation.

I plan on connecting the stock solenoids back up so that I will have at least 9.5psi until I can sort it all out.

Only thing is I needed the service before I go round donington in March and I had no idea if you would be able to do it.

Are they having a laugh. how long did it take????
