I have been looking at a ZX to buy. The seller wants 8k for it which makes it the most expensive one I've seen so far. The car is in great condition inside and out, and is apparently, and I mean apparently, running 600bhp. It has nismo everything I am told. Firstly how do i prove this and secondly is that a good price? It is gorgeous, no pics though. I think its been shown on here before though. Cheers!

more info needed on the car, 8k for an apparent 600bhp is a good price depending it has the suspension, brakes, wheel, and so on to go with the HP

ask for a full spec and see what they come up with, it wont take 2 minutes to tell you whether its BS or not, if it is the zed in the other thread then its no way a 600 bhp zed, it does have some nice bits on it though

Its the very one posted up there. I thought somone would find it! I know it has a front brembo brake conversion, its also stupidly low but whether or not thats a modification or not I'm not too sure. Is ti worth that kind of money?

any car is worth what someone is willing to pay for it i suppose, alot about this car is its looks, you either love it or hate it, its got the F40 brembo brakes up front, quit popular in japan but getting the discs over here can be costly, other than that i would need to see it to confirm the parts on it which would indicate what sort of HP is possible from its spec.

a good starting point is check the injector colour, you can see the tops if you look carefully, if there a browny colour then there standard and it wont be running more than 350 bhp

its may be on coilovers, again to check look through the wheels to see if the shocks have a thread on them, if they have then there coilovers (again expensive kit) and can be highered

i'm not far from manchester on thursday if you want me to have a look? i will always give an honest opinion ;)

You can have a look by all means but I won't be able to be there because I'm at uni. I see you are from morecambe, my home town is Lancaster, is there any chance of having a look round yours so I know what to look for? I also see you can import stuff, do you have a list of cars available at the moment? Email me if thats easier for you. nickg91@hotmail.com.

what garage is it at? do they have a web address? if i get time i may pop along :)

i dont have a zed anymore, had 5 or 6 LOL

tbh i dont import anymore as its hard work and theres just no money in it, also on top of that all the problems like the cars getting damaged in transit etc so i gave it up but i know a few people still so can point you in the right direction ;)

are you using your uni loan to pay for a zed??

if so good on ya haha.

No, i'm not using my loan for a zed, thats for the fuel bills. It's not a garage, its a guy who "collects" them. He's moving away and so selling up. He also has about 7 or 8 RX-7s on his drive. The postcode is BL3 3SS. Its Bolton, bout 15 mins from manchester, on the way back to morecambe.

If it being sold by the same guy that posted the pics up, I would not say he collected them as he was asking some very basic question a few months back.

whats that post code again?

i need a few parts on the cheap il give him a visit 2mow morn say about 3am

Thanks ;)

Your welcome to have a look at mine if you like. Although its practically standard, you have a look around and compare. Let me know next time your up around lancaster.

I'd be very suprised if a car running a single fuel feed and through the standard balance bar fuel feeds could deliver enough fuel to generate 600bhp. By the way Mike the standard injectors are Yellow or dark Grey on the cross over series 2/3 cars. I wouldn't mind having a butchers at it purely because I've always wanted those rear arches for my Zed since about 2001.

Also you must have a dyno sheet to claim those kind if figures and any car I've seen or heard of producing that kind of power has needed a couple of direct plenum injectors as well as 6 x 850cc injectors and serious aftermarket engine management.

Owners says Nismo RR58 Turbochargers - Anyone know spec ? I did'nt think Nismo ever made Aftermarket Turbochargers and I cant find anything on them.

Only thing I can find on Nismo Turbochargers (in English) is rhis link to envy

Others I've come up with suggests they are Nismo spec Garrets based on a gt25 bb with a max output of 280 bhp each. with transmision losses it would be hard pressed to see more than 450bhp providing all the injectors mapping etc was up to it.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. He collects cars, not zeds. He only has the one zed, that blue one. But a hell of a lot of others.

He did also mention the RR581 Turbo, which im sure is a nismo one normally installed on Nismo Skylines

The Nismo RR581 Turbo is also know as the Lemans Series Turbo and is popular on the GTR Skylines, the Turbo is made by Garrett.

He did also mention the RR581 Turbo, which im sure is a nimo one normally installed on Twin Turbo Converted Skylines

What are they based on though? Would that be based on a GT28BB?

RR581's are also known as the Nismo GT/LeMans series. Similar to the 2530's yes, with a 15deg cutback wheel. Rated at 320 hp
