yeah. seen these, but how good are they ?

Gregg Dupree spent about 2 years developing them and found that the only way to prevent them from cracking up was to have them made and welded with inconel Steel which isn't cheep. So put it this way I wouldn't put them on any of my cars

i'm tempted they look good quality and would go nice with my spare engine rebuild

They will crack at some point. Just depends when. a Flex pipe would help, and you could do what a lot of SX guys do and use support brackets to prevent as much movement as you can.

XS-power have an atrocious reputation on sxoc and they don't have to pull the engine to replace the manifold!

they would certainly be a good start to use but you would need to get all the welds done and some extra bracing put on to make them stronger but apart from that i would say there a bargain, i know alot of the supra boys buy manifolds from XS and there fine, some need slight modification but again for the price its well worth it

In 304 they won't last long. It's not vibration or flex that kills them so much as thermal expansion stresses. It's whay all good turbo manifolds are 321 or inconel.

He also recommended fitting GD flexi pipes in the exhaust to prevent any additional strain on them (along with the GD Downpipes). Which is the reason I have all three GD Manifolds, downpipes and flexi pipes.

can't be hard to strenghten them up and use flexi to stop cracking, still look a good flow upgrade and cheaper

It won't be cheaper if you have to pull the engine :(

well i guess ur right, although it would cost me nothing to pull engine only if i could be arsed to pull engine, i don't know now?? i'm building a spare engine spec wise wesico pistons/eagle rods/jwtsports650 turbos 5 stud downpipes/ and thought i would gain better performance with manifolds, so do i use the stock manifolds or buy the mike smith cast ones or use these stainless xs ones????? is it worth the cost?

well i could port the stock ones which isn.t a problem, just wether the gains would be as good???

ported stock will give some benefit, but nowhere near as much as the MS ones

would the xs ones give as good as mike smiths

probably but onbly for a limited time until they crack.
