If you are a registered member - dont bother, the thread will only be removed... oh and good luck of course - but advertise elsewhere pretty please

beent hinking about this, it is a regular occurence, so obviously not clear. Is there anyway it can be made more prominent that its not permitted? such as pm upon registering or something?

They dont get pm's but possibly a line in their 'joining email' .... not that anyone reads those things - you just look for linky and clicky :wack:

well dont let them have access to for sale section? or would that not work?

Well i guess you'll just have to work your backside off deleting threads.

let them view but not post, unless they already cant go in there

all the threads today have been posted in z-related forum as they can't reply or post in the for sale section ;)

knew i would be wrong lol

surely there is a way of making it more prominent a banner at the top lol

aye but there will always be someone who tries......

make this a sticky then A BIG DIRTY BOLD ONE LOL

but its in the AUP, registered users cant post until they agree to the AUP, they know the rules and agreed to them and should therefore adhere by them

does that mean that currently registered members can not reply to for sale adverts to buy parts listed by subscribed members ?

yes but that aint stopping them and in all honesty the aup is not the first thing you look at.

maybe a condensed aup in their welcome email, stating the obvious, im sure they are not doing it on purpose

People don't read stickies.. they don't read FAQs.. they don't read smallprint (AUPs)..

Just like men never read manuals..

So I say.. summary banning for any transgressors! MwahahAHAHAHahhHAhAhahahAHAHA.

Ahem.

instead of making them type some random letters as verification make them type " i will not sell anything until subscribed" lol

or send em to me for a good spanking :D

what I meant was that by stoping them being able to reply to for sale threads, we as subcribed members are missing out on potential customers !

I think it should be set to stop them creating threads in the for sale section, but replying to threads should be ok.

We could have a Banner of text at the top of the forum, under the toolbar, that only registered users see, that could be used to both promote subscribing and letting them know that selling is not allowed.

Thats not practical - you could'nt cope

good points.... I maybe wrong with regards to the replying in for sale sections as I never buy anything  but am pretty sure threads have popped up everywhere else F.A.O blah blah - cant reply to thread but i want your bits etc...

Maybe something for Pete and the forum upgrade (which before anyone pipes up about it - yes he is currently doing it) :D

have a for sale section for registered users with a 5 quid donation to the club for every listing lol
