Well ater my car was collected from SWZ, due to them making it worse than before it went in and before work was carried out to rectify by Zedworld, the old thing had a MOT to check what was wrong and failed on 48 points. Wow never knew you could have that many failure points lol. There are also about 10 other things that need to be rectified.

well if you have enough disposable income no harm done

No need to break. Apart from the Welding the remaining jobs are all simple/cheap/quick to sort.

as dave said, the main work is the welding. the brakes are shot too, but alot of the jobs allthough annoying are relative simple fixes.

Forgot to add the HICAS is shot too.

there wont be too much left of this car as per when i bought it (including bodywork lol), the engine is a replacement, the brakes and suspension would have been replaced also.

I'd be tempted to break it too. I know it is sad, but the cost of zeds these days, you could pick up a decent one for a steal.

Good luck with it anyway mate...

did that last time, thats how i got here lol

Sorry to see its in such a bad way Marcus. When do you expect to have her back ?

not 100% sure, I given up with time frames lol

Best of luck Marcus! you keep going you need to get a Zed back in your stable

Yep Andy there are stuff on there which normally would not fail, once Mr MOT man finds 1 big fail he normally lists every single little near fail. 4 of the fails were due to missing wheel nuts, 4 on the list were down as items not tested.

The tester can't just fail every item because he found one that should, he can only go by whats in the book and as Andy say's most of those items arent part of the test, though some of them may affect other things ie emissions etc he cant just fail them for the sake of it.

On the plus side as Legrath say's alot of the work is pretty simple so no need to scrap the car!

I can understand how you must feel marcus, the engine swap should of been turned around in 48hrs, i get on well with pj but its to be said, ended up getting silly.

I should imagine jeff would of had the pleasure to make it sound worse and rub every fault on the car just to make paul look a ****, jeff can be like that. And i couldnt give 10 ****s who else has an opinion in his defence Its IMO.

Finally glad to see your not giving up on it bud, and if you need any help give us a buzz.

Maybe my previous posts weren't that obvious lol ;)

Man that's bad Marcus, am sure Jeff will do all he can to help sort you out though :)

Fortunately he doesn't do MOT's himself personally and when asked to inspect a car, he generally photographs any faults too, this helps to avoid the negative vibes from those people who think the worse of him!

Good luck mate.

Nothing against Jeff, i know he dont do the MOT's and TBH ive seen the car and i think he makes it sound a lot better than it actually is :).

Im very thankfull for his help and unlike PJ he has been in contact with me via email, phone all along the way with pictures to support each issue raised, you simply can ask for more than that. Im not defending him either I just going by my experience with him so far. If PJ took Jeff customer dealing skills added his talent for working on these cars he would be very successfull

yikes. And I thought my Z had issues...

my car past its test last month even without an advisory sheet but then again mines up on a lift every other weekend because am a mechanic and I'm a complete fanny with it, my lass MOT'd it like so she went through it with a fine tooth comb because she knows once those roads are empty that pedals through the floor!

.....and before anybody thinks it "a lass mechanic? she must be a monster!" have a spy for yourself lol

:p

If that was my car I'd be tempted to drive it through his front window!!!! Is he a Z mechanic or not. These sort of things should not have been missed.

Pisses me right off with this sort of thing. Most of those jobs are soo simple to sort and I'm certainly not a mechanic. I'd do most of them myself!

Admittedly some of the things were not directly his fault but if car didn't take soo long then they wouldn't have been an issue. I just hope he is paying for all the remedial work to be carried out!

Actually..only 3 or 4 of the listed items were SWZ responsibility, and they are there because Paul had'nt checked the work done by the mechanics(now ex mechanics) who fitted Marcus's engine, before SWZ shut their doors. Thats where Marcus was let down by Paul.

I think you will find there is two sides to every story and i am fed up with defending myself over and over again in regards to this car and deal !

Just look at the state it was in when picked up says it all really PJ, could not even be bothered to put the gear stick bits back together, gave my painted cam covers to dannyzx and put bodge job ones on. And never checked any of the work done by a garage which you own. Eve putting aside the bits that were not you responsibility you gave me a car back that was a f'ing death trap.

Close this before it goes t**s up

Its ok it is being watched ;)

None of Shock Asorbers tightened up (Pj assured both myself and Helen seperatley that these would be torqued up)

YOU FITTED THESE YOURSELF !!!

NOT LIKELY !

Aiv supply pipes mixed up at throttle

Brake fluid below minimum limit

NOT MY PROBLEM !

Fuel filter bracket bolts missing

YOU REMOVED THEM FOR THE PETROL PIPING YOU FITTED REMOVED !

Front shock absorbers both loose at top mounts (see point 1)

YOU AGAIN !

Cooler bracket insufficient (Cable tie job by SWZ)

All I was aked to do was swap thre engine but you kept removing or changing stuff yourself and not putting it back properly and was not my responcibility to rectify !

I welded up your van also as part of the deal as well as welding the seals and putting your silver car through MOT more welding !

I dont need to come on here and justify my actions conscernung your car but the fact you blame me for stuff you did kinda upsets me  !
