Thanks Darrel, very useful! PMSL...

Depends on what car you have.. is it the zed>?

I would recomend Fairways Garage in Hatfield, I have taken a few of my zeds there both TT and NA and they always gave me great service.

Nice one Steve, yes it is the zed.

I will look them up now. Cheers...

no probs - I grew up in St Albans so know the garages quite well. If you had a different car - I might have recomended a different garage - but there were always good with my zed.

They wont do the service on my zed unless they supply the parts, the problem is I have all the parts already!

they were also a little reluctant to try and sort the turbo issues I have.

They were very polite though and recommended another place that should be able to help. "St Albans Car Clinic"

Thanks again...

eeeew! Must have changed ownership? I have taken my own parts there before! ok try Bridge Motors 01727 874 660 - They specialise in Jap cars.

Thanks again Steve, I just tried to call but no answer, maybe too late now?

I need to get hold of a boost controller in the next few days to try and diagnose the problems before I take it to a garage! can you help?

spend a little extra to make the journey and go to see jimmer... you cant go wrong that way, top guy, top quality work. if you go any where else your taking a risk imo!

I agree with that sentiment, the amount of garages I have taken my two zeds to and they all let me down at some point or another.

I used to go to z-tech but then their service fell apart. I have been to zedworld but they didn't give me any confidence that they knew what they were talking about. I have dealt with Martyn (ex of zen garage) and he is a fantastic mechanic but useless with time management (as shown by SMW1). I bought a load of parts knowing that Duffman would help me out, now he has got his own place up north and is not responding to PMs! I have used a fantastic guy in queensbury (faislal knows who I mean) but he can be very busy and a bit useless with time management too. I have been to Nissan (will not make that mistake again). I used to go to my local garage, who were cheap but used their brains (now closed!).

I am getting fed up with it all TBH.

There is only one person I would want working on my zed and that is John Dixon. The problem is he has his a day job, nowhere to work on zeds and lives miles away from me.

What am I supposed to do? :wack:

do i have to say it again ;) i cant think of a good reason why you shouldnt and im sure a sizeable % of peeps on here feel the same :smash:

take it to jimmer i mean... just in case we wasnt on the same wave length :p

Joel, we are on the same wavelenght, in the time I was gone I have PM'd him! lol

I was just venting my frustration!

Thanks for the advice...

What I do is take mine to Duff and leave it there get everything sorted out and get a train home

Then go pick it up when he's finished

Simple

Though I always book him way in advance of when I need him, I'm pretty organised... I have to be

Good luck
