was driving home after visiting a friends and was about 2 minutes away from home when i heard a pop and my car came out of control. car slided to the left followed by the right. tried to shove car into neutral as i have an auto and this helped braking a bit more but too late............. hit a post and bent fender in.

crawled home as i was close and inspected car thoroughly. important internals seem to be unaffected/crushed. intercoolers looked fine and car was still running like a dream. Really upset and even tho i have will get a new fender the bit under the fender i.e the wheel arch will need to be banged out or replaced. can anyone suggest or give me some advice on what to do. at the moment if i just replace the fender there will be a spot that the fender will be able to push in with hands. I know i may not be making much sense but i am really upset at the moment. i will include pictures that i have taken once i find the cable that connects to my pc. Once again please help me.

Cheers

have you thought about seeing if you can get a 2nd hand one off this site?

Thats what i did, 600 quid for brand new vrs 60 quid for a new one...

I went to Rivermead accident repair centre in Reading, as that was where i used to live, they did a proper job, but the work still aint finished... As some toe rag drove down the n/s of my car and caused 600 quid in damage, (140 parts - 500 labour) so rub down & re-spray again... :headvswal

New tailgate to pick up this weekend and the bonnet needs respraying, due to stone chips.

You should ringing around in your area, try shopping around and compare quotes 1st.

Your cars gonna look like that for a little while, get used to it untill u secure funds to fix teh damage... As long as it still drives...Then all good!

I noticed the arrow on your tyre facing the wrong way that cant be good :(

The front wheel is on the wrong side as well.Inside each wheel it will say RH or LH as wheels are designed to rotate in one direction to keep brakes cool. If your car is a UK car then because the rear wheels are wider it mean that there is a RH front and RH Back and the same with LH.

you appear to have a LH Front on your RH which would acount for the tyre rotation being wrong.
