HI Everyone

Just out of intrest, who has fitted Lambo doors to their Zeds??

Do you think they look good or not?

If you do have them what company would you recommend?

And Bolt on or Weld on???

Looking forward to the replies.

Seen that over on 3ZC before Dave. One of the very nicest I have seen. My idea of Z perfection. No ugly cheese grater wings, pointless vents, stupid doors or ugly bumpers etc on this baby.

This would be my idea of Fully kitted and stunning upgrade without going OTT and to me it looks like it could of rolled of the production line as a facelift or special version

No need for silly unneeded holes and lambo doors. It also has proper high quality strong lightweight wheels (volk Te37) instead of the all to common poorly manufactured overweight cheap bling wheels many have fitted.

Quality and Continuality is where it counts

See for me that rear lip on the bumper would have to go, it looks odd, bt the rest is spot on

So no one is ever right it all comes down to personal choice :)

Absolutely.

Although there are examples where you will want Vents (uprated power will often require nose panel and Bonnet vents needed for cooling)....a race car needs better aerodynamics..etc

Major alterations where a purpose is served.

The U.S has a lot of nicely modified examples without going OTT

 on both accounts.

The enthusiasts over there do have the nicest bunch of cars. There are some shockers in the US, but the Z enthusiasts keep their cars clean and to the point and they are very protective over the shape and look of the original car.

Absolutely.

Of course, but there are nice and ugly options for those. vents in front wings however are no use to man nor beast.

Kinda....Vents in front wings can be used to alter Air pressure within wheel wells for improved aerodyamics and lift/downforce (turbulance affects under diffusers..etc).

..but Viper front wings (for example) are just for show and dont serve that purpose, especially on a road car.

They would look good if it was just the top vents and not the side ones, Bit like the TVR

They just look out of place. There's nothing there that they cool. They are just holes in a wing that break up the nice clean smooth lines along the sides and bonnet of the car.

Very little though. A front splitter would create the downforce. You have a very small area on top of the wing and little in the way of structural support. I can see your point, but you'd need to make pretty drastic modifications for airflow in the wheel well itself.

I was sighting the viper wing as an example. ;)

im suprised Fungal has not noticed the bumper in your avator.

YOUr not quick enough Si lol!!

I personally think lambo`s really suit the 300zx they look like they were ment to have um un-like most other cars ie corsa`s and the likes.

Doors are boring and have been the same on cars for many years so the lambo doors make it that bit different and less boring so i fitted them on mine a couple of years ago, Shortly after every fooker had um so i went to the next level and made mine electric via remote control.

So yeah vertical doors look good on the right car and i think the zx is the right car,

I want that rear spoiler.

PS Lambo doors are chavtastic and there to draw attention to yourself and have the same effect that wearing a false penis on your forhead.

It got burnt down? Or is there a hint of 'insurance job' coming from Si lol

are you talking about the silver one, or one my sodding works firewall is blocking lol

Or is there a hint of 'insurance job' coming from

It came from half the board members. Member was always threatening selling it, blagging the money he'd spent on it, then wanted to sell it and no one would give what he wanted for it. Then, mysteriously, he vanished and so did the car.

It was later found out that the car have been apparently stolen and then burnt out. Now, if that would have been any rational person, a thread and man hunt would now be on on here to either find the culprit or the car. The excuse for not even asking or putting a thread up if they'd seen the car was that they were too embarrassed to tell anyone. Embarrassed cause your car got stolen?? Get real! It's not for me to say, but the whole thing stunk of a manure.

Member is now banned from the forum because they couldn't even cough up the £10 for the calendar that the car was actually in!!
