HI Everyone

Just out of intrest, who has fitted Lambo doors to their Zeds??

Do you think they look good or not?

If you do have them what company would you recommend?

And Bolt on or Weld on???

Looking forward to the replies.

Love the mix comments!

I totallyy agree with most of you. I think it could be pulled off as long as the door opens 90 degrees otherwise you would look like a idiot getting out. But they do have a bad rep with the Chavs...

Honestly I would get them but really depends on the body style of the Zed. But thats the great thing of Zeds. Everyone has diffrent views and therefore all the zed's look diffrent in this club.

Nice Neutral Standings there Driven! Not for me saw one on a Black Zed at SantaPod looked cool from afar but up close just looked nasty!

From the Pic above all i will say is dont park in a Multi Story Car Park, or in your Garage!Otherwise your not getting out without smashing your door into the ceiling :P

gay. would never use them. would never pay for them.

 PMSL.

pmsl, i know that heap o' di crappo very well, last time i saw it, it was on the hard shoulder, smashed up, such a shame!!

As for Lambo doors, they are ok as long as its not combined with a load of other ott stuff in my opinion.

GT Factory hinges, imported from the States.

Excellent quality, but should be at nearly a Grand !!

Badmonkey`s car, off the forum !

this looks really nice,

i like them, just not on the Z. Also, some kits are really wobbly when opening and closing the doors.

Well i voted yes, im only 22 and yes go to all the car shows, donny/ mods etc

And no im not a chav, far from it.

one thing i hate about this country, you cannot be different, as soon as you touch anything on a car, you are classed as a chav or different and are looked down on by other people,

Some have said they like them, but would not have them as they are afraid of what people would say.

Also i doubt they will age like the lexus lights as they are to expencive for most, and they are not as common

Plus most cannot aford them and people get jelous so they slate them, Granted some will not like them, most probs because there different

Who gives a F?? be different ;)

Having taste and being different are two different things. ;)

Yes there are limits obviously and you can go to far, But you are a purist so you opinion is pants when it comes to mods ;) :p

Your afraid to be differnt ;)

I'm not afraid to be different. Far from it. I bought the Z to be different. I choose to keep it looking pretty much as Nissan indented it to, not because I am scared to change it, but because it's such a pretty design. It's like trying to give Angelina Jolie loads of plastic surgery. Has nothing to do with being scared of change, just more to do with wanting to keep something looking beautiful and functional. Look how Karl300zx's turned out!! :nelson:

My last car was pretty heavily modified actually. Not so much to look at, but modified none the less.

who's Karl300zx's

At the end of the day it all comes down to an opinion, I would never have a std car, But thats just me,

Everything can always be improved, nothing is perfect.

Beautey is in the eye of the beholder etc ;)

My Z isn't standard though. Aftermarket rims, suspension, exhaust, new interior. Added my own personal touches along the way, such as smoothed rockguard. All subtle stuff. It still looks like a Z from all angles.

Yes you have spent a bomb on it, and looks really classy dont get me wrong, but to some one who isnt in the know will just see it as a std ZX,

See i dont see modding as that, i see it as the whole kit etc and lambo doors, bonnets :D

Modding is changing something that wasn't originally there. There's subtle modding and OTT modding. IMHO, OTT modding is just following the Max Power route. It's instant and easy stuff. Nothing imaginative or different really. It makes the car different looking, but the idea isn't different. Billy bolt on stuff and a lot of people change things just for the sake of changing stuff. Not always thinking if it looks good or not, which is why there are so many modified abortions on Britain's roads today. We can thank Lax Power and Fast and Spurious for that!

A heavily modified car can look pretty stock. It can have a crazy engine, it's still classed as modded regardless of whether it has half a boat grafted onto it.

I do like modified cars. But there are different types of modifications that I like over others.

Now i see what you mean, Bonnet, alloys, skirts spoiler and the colour is all wrong,:hurl: thats to much the max power style

For me the best modded Zx is smithys, fully kitted up but looks as if it should of come of the production line like that, If you know what i mean??

Smithy's looks far from 'it just rolled off the production line' Way off from it. But it does look very very nice. It didn't used to look that nice, but his current changes have made it one of the nicest modified Zs on the forum.

Lol!!!! you know what i mean, it looks Right and classy. looks like a suped up sports car

Its always hard to explane thinks in words as people take them in the wrong way etc, where it is so much better talking face to face. I would just nut you

Joke!!!

I'd kick you in the *****cks if you did! LOL

I know what you mean. It looks like it's had a lot of thought gone into it. Panel gaps look good, everything seems to compliment the car rather than trying to make it look 'different'. I like it a lot.

Spot on, thats what im trying to say, so me that is my modified style (everyone is different)

We agree at last lol!!!!

Ps i would get you in a head lock and hold on for life :D

You'd be rolling around in agony mate, so don't think you'd be up to getting someone in a headlock with your testicles pushed into your stomach! LOL

Yeah, we do agree.....although lambo door still look and are shite! In a big way! They loose functionality and look ridiculous.

This would be my idea of Fully kitted and stunning upgrade without going OTT and to me it looks like it could of rolled of the production line as a facelift or special version

No need for silly unneeded holes and lambo doors. It also has proper high quality strong lightweight wheels (volk Te37) instead of the all to common poorly manufactured overweight cheap bling wheels many have fitted.

Quality and Continuality is where it counts.

The U.S has a lot of nicely modified examples without going OTT
