These seem to be getting extremely rare these days.

 

I imagine plenty of previous owners hold onto them when they sell on their cars.

 

I used mine every day till I came to my senses and bought a Black handle key and got it cut.

I've got the original key that's the same shape but it was never titanium.

 

I dropped it once while walking and it bounced of my foot and went straight down a drain in my (then) work car park. I tried to get it out but failed. I reported it to the building staff and they sent a handyman who dug out the drain and found the key and returned it. I bought him some beers.

 

Love that key - great shape.

 

Thought about getting a titanium one - the odd blank one comes up for sale now and then. It'd be the cutting that's worry me (and I'm tight!).

I didnt think mine had one untill id had it for about 6 months and dug through its service wallet, i found pictures of it in japan the titainium key and loads of reciepts for stuff in yen!

 

Only J specs got the titainium key, ive got mine and the the red handled valet key and a spare too, i use the titanium key always, looks good on your keyring.

Yep, still got mine. Also got the leather 'Z' wallet that stores the manuals, service books etc. All the service history is in Jap. but hey, who cares, it still looks good.

The cartoon pics that are in the handbook are hilarious. If you couldn't read Japanese, you would still get the gist of whats going on because of the drawings.

Yep, your poll started in 2005, and there was an earlier one in 2002....was looking to see if there are less now than before....

I still have the Titanium key for all 4 300's I own and I must confess that I still have the titanium keys for the 6 I have ive sold or broken :nono:

Still got my titanium key for my UK TT.. Tried to have the key gold plated recently, but the gold wouldn't take to the titanium, so just had it polished up.. lol :cool:

I just bought a complete set of locks with Titanium key, ironic as i just sold a set with key just over a month ago lol.

i still have mine rattles around on my keyring with my renault keys and house keys and garage keys... feel like a Jailor at times!

I still have all 3 keys with mine .

Use it daily as I am to mean to get a spare cut!

I have Three Titanium Keys with my Blue UK car, but all 3 Jspec SWB's I've had have only got the keys with the black plastic bit.

Yup, mine came with 3 keys - a titanium one, the black handled one and the red valet key.

 

That's a UK spec and all the UK spec cars I looked at also had one.......

 

......judging by the results, the titanium key is not rare on the forum!!

Nope i'v had 5 zeds and my dad has one and i only ever had a titanium key for one of them. :( My current one has the black and red ones though, and full jap history. :D:D:D
