Hey guy, new to the forum and i have a dilemma,

 

i'm currently on a hunt for a new car i have narrowed it down to basically a 300zx N/A 2+2 LWB or a Mark 4 Supra N/A

 

Thoughts, ideas, comparsions, pros and cons, anything yo can think of to help me make a descision would be greatly appriceated.

Used to have a supra n/a manual, superb car! Could thrash it around all

day, it never missed a beat, 3rd gear never seemed to end!

Can't comment on a z n/a, not had one. Judging from replies there aint

much between them, just a question of personal preference i guess.

 

PS: Am loving that supra Alex C, stunning!

I have to disagree here! Having owned both the mkiv interior is far superior to the Zed imo. Much more solidly put together than the cheapo Zed switch gear. Plus the dash was designed to focus everything towards the driver and works very well in this respect. My UK spec Zed was much better put together than my J-spec though I have to say, but probably as it was a few years younger.

 

On the outside...well each to their own but I am happy with what I have.

Thats cheating though Alex because your interior is nothing like a standard Supra. Is IT? It's all hand stiched leather even the doorcards are really well sculpted and peiced together & your Supra is newer yet again.

As for the build quality the zx again wins hands down ;)

how the hell can anyone say the supra has a better dash look at it for fook sake stevie wonder can see its shite, the supra is a nice car though (apart from the front lights)

I have taken the dash of a supra and a zed apart to fit delimiters, and i'm not being biased the zed is FAR superior build quality, very solid and went back together like a dream, the supra on the other hand was very flimsy and plasticky, the same applies to the door cards. ;)

i have to say i always wanted a supra. Was going to get an n/a or sz whatever you'd rather call it but i know me and would always have wanted the tt. Having looked at both i prefered the zed interior but i have to say i still look at supras and think i love them. Then again i still love the zed too

I like them all, zx, supra, Gto, Rx7. I would have any of them there all super and basicaly the same.

Seriously though I must have had 2 crap Zeds then as the dashes rattled & creaked like an old pirate ship. I don't dislike the Zed inside just think the supra is great. Each to their own!

I assure you his dash isn't it is the nicest Supra interior i have ever seen. It's all hand stiched and sculpured leather door cards and dash. Real nice. Thats why I said he's cheeting when he made his post.

We'll have to meet up and I'll bring the blue car and you can have a tugg and a raze and see what you think. That one has always been solid and nicely put together so too is the SWB I bent but my previous one and the one I use everyday must pulled apart and thrown back together by monkies.

looked at getting a n/a supra ... but as soon as a realised i could insure a Twin turbo zed for the same price.. discussion was closed..
