not if it´s the vallet key or how ever you call it...the red one..on mine the red one doesn´t open the boot, glove box ot the lockable targa roofs.

how do you "lock" the targa roofs?? never knew you could?

I think i've seen the lockable targa roof thing on the american z's.

I've got a similar thing. My key doesn't work for the boot - I always have to use the release lever thingy. Can be a bit of a pain in the arse, but I'm used to it, because it's always been that way.

The Titanium and Black key are the Master keys and work all locks

Red key is the Valet key and wont work the Glovebox or Boot lock.

How does that work if they are both cut from the same key?

Only asking as my old Z the titanium key worked everything except the boot but i assumed it was because it had seized, my new Z only had an after market key but i bought genuine nissan black/red keys but have yet to have them cut.

Key cut is the same, its the groove along the length of the key (you should see the difference on your black and red blanks) that makes the difference.

Yeah, never noticed that, the width of the black (master) grooves are wider.
