Wife forced me to go to the hospital this morning as I sustained a knee injury while playing football last night.

Turns out I dislocated my knee but it poped back in trapping a tendon between the femar and the knee cap. So they had to dislocate the knee cap again to get the tendon out then put my whole leg in plaster.

So I'm off work for a while and feel totally useless as I can't put any weight on it.

Attached a picture for you to have a giggle at.

It's been a bad day today.

I ended up in a cast.

The wife had to walk to the doctors carrying Isabella to take her for her injections because I had the pram in the boot of the car which I used to get to the hospital.

Wife then had to get a taxi to the hospital with our daughter to drive the BMW home that I used to get there (using L plates as she hasn't passed her test yet, plus she's never driven the Beema either).

Daughter didn't stop crying for 3 hours after the injections so Wife had to take her back to the doctors as she also had a red patch on her leg.

I decided to wash the front door mat, but didn't tell my wife I put it in the washing machine, so she loaded some other stuff in there. Once the cycle kicked in it melted the back of the mat off which then cooled during rising mode and wedged itself between the rubber and the glass seal, causing the washing machine to drain it's load off over the kitchen floor.

Wife had to clean up all the water and then try and hover up all the now brittle bits of rubber from the back of the mat.

Hopefully tomorrow will be more relaxing :).

Tomorrow will be a better day Stu - be honest, it couldn't get any worse! :D Feel better soon bud!

Things, unfortunately, can always get worse. Lets hope they don't though hey.

Why were you washing a rubber mat in the wasing machine?

God, if you weren't already in plaster and if it was my wife, then you would have been afterwards. She moans if I put my overalls in there.

Anyway get well soon buddy. Should be OK for the summer so you can drive round in the Z.

I still play cricket at 43 by the way.

Mate youve got a very similar injury to me, apart from i tore some of the ligament that joins the quadracep to the knee cap.

not wanting to put a downer on it, but im still suffering 3 years on......

How long they said for recovery? mine was 7 months before i could walk without a limp and was able to jog again. 9 month till i could sprint.

No Idea at recovery time yet. Got to have the cast of on Feb 8th for checking at the hospital, then they may put one back on again or just a knee brace depending on what they find.

My leg is itching already :(

Another bit of bad news, the high winds last night have ripped the felt off my shed roof. No way I can get up there to fix it with a leg in plaster :(

will you get paid whilst you are off?

get the missus to sort the roof out, you can supervise lol

I have had 7 knee dislocations to date, once you pop you just can't stop. Used to play squash, 5 aside and a bit of cricket now I play the Xbox!

Sounds like a normal day for me these days. Get well soon and hope little girl is feeling much better.
