my car had an mot on saturday but it failed

1,headlight needs adjusting

2,high emissions and too much petrol being pumped in the engine

3,handbrake not working well

, i told them they could do the work that needed doing, i regret that now, i went in

there today and they said i needed new brake shoes and new

rear disc, but now iv thought about it the brake shoes and discs cant get worn down that much over the years, i dont do

handbrake turns and the car was off the road for 5 months

if they told you about it and gave you the option id say no, but if they did it and didnt ask, i would say yes

Ask to see the old shoes and discs. The handbrake shoes are very thin, but I suspect all they really needed was adjusting...hard to say though.

Not heard from you for a while.....Hows the family???

What MOT station is it?? The only worry to me would be the fuel adjustment?
