thanks guys. its coming on faster than what i was expecting

Looking good! Get them to fill in the fieldmouse vents on the rear quarters. Something I've not seen done, but something that would smarten the look of the kit up no-end! Shame about the choice of rear lights.

thanks si. i have told him i want them filling in but he wasnt keen on it. think im going to have to insist on it. i want a smooth look with no vents at all. as for the rear lights, i know not everyone will approve of them but i quite like the look. i cant please everyone.

You just please yourself. I've never liked the aftermarket rear lights as you loose the Z look from the back and they are key features IMHO. But that's just me.

I think you should insist. I'd love to see it done. Something I've always felt that kit needed to finish it off and give it a real quality look. Nice one on the thinking of it. Hope to see it done. :duffer:

hey paul where did you get tyres from?? i need a pair soon for my rear 315/25/19

todays update. few more pics of how its going. looks like it will be painted next week.

just make sure there filled in with fiberglass paste and a little skim of filler,

If its just all bog in they will sink in about 4-5 mounths time :slap:

Yup, get the vents...not that they vent anything.. filled in and some decent lights!! :)

When that is finished, it will look amazing. Pleeeaaassseee take some of those lights at night :D

right. a little more info, and a few people wont be too happy. i called into the bodyshop today. with regards to the vents, its a lot of work now to fill them in correctly, and he shown me why. when you look above the vents the centre of them sticks out more than above and below. this would mean having to grind part of the centre out, strenghten it behind, refill it and smooth it off which is about another day & halfs work. for now they will be staying, if i dont get on with them then i will have them done at a later date, so all is not lost. at the moment, my concern is getting the wheels refurbished, which aint easy with them being 3 piece split rims, but we will get there. will keep you updated on any progress.

It'll cost of a fortune to have them done at a later date. IMHO, I'd get it done now. You'd be the first and IMHO, would make the kit far far more appealing.

If I was you I wouldn't go any further until you get your wheels. I'm assuming that its a copy Strosek Kit as it has 2 vents each side and even if it isn't you really should aline it to the wheels that are going on the car. That way the wheel arch follows the wheel line and setting the width of the wings to match.

They do look like their doing a good job there and moving at a good pace. Most body shops tend to drag body kits out. Be nice to see the finished artical, but like Si said, get those silly vents filled in. If you don't, and you wanted to. They'll nag you every time you look at it.
