Seriously considering getting these has anybody fitted them and what if any gains did you get from fitting them?? i know there has been some fitting issues with ebay manifolds BUT.. these are advertised as being fully RHD compatible and with no fitting issues

Total pack of lies. They DONT fit without modification.

They are designed for LHD cars.

How many times do we have to go thru this???????

chill pete chill. the point i was trying to make is if anybody has bought them with this claim and still had issues.

i can easily get them modified if they don't fit but don't want half the car in pieces before i found out the case.

he clearly states that the fit without any modifications.

why you all grumpy! :slap: :p

They dont fit straight out of the box, as for performance gains yes there is some from fitting headers, but it is a fair amount of work to fit them so if your going to go this route it may be wiser to go for a quality set designed and built professionally.

I am fairly sure this is the buyer that Smithy got a set from for me to look at, if not then I am sure they all come from the same factory in China, build quality was poor and I think Leon at Alunox said they might last a year or two before rotting away.

£400-700 for a set of manifolds is totally beyond my budget at the moment 2 years is better then nothing and when or if they blow i will just buy another set ;)

It is a lot of money, modifying the headers is not too much hassle, fitting will be the main headache, have you got someone lined up to do the work?

me! what is the headache with fitting them? is it just the space issue, tbh i have no trust in mechanics at all at the moment!

LOl!!

Im only going to say this ONE MORE TIME.....

"They DONT FIT WITHOUT MODIFICATION"

Ring my garage man Malc tomorrow, my car is on the ramp having some fitted. He knows Its the second set hes fitted for me. ive already re positioned the O2 sensor boss and he will have to fit, remove refit etc several times till he hammers them enough to clear the steering column. Then he will have to do it all again on full lock cos the column runs thru an eccentic curve..

They do produce more power than stock manifolds and they do last more than 2 years. My old slicktop still has then on .

I dont give a toss what the bloke at Ebay says. Ring him up and ask him if he has ever fitted any????????

Messing about probably adds £100 to the fitting charge over the normal charge. So that makes them £200 approx.

RHD ones are more.

Your choice.

"stomps out of room!!!!"

cool the 2fast2cool products do seem good value for money and the other traders selling them all import from the states which i don't think this guys does.

thanks everybody for the heads up and i will consider what im going to do.

i could always get the piipe cut in the problematic place and twisted to give more room as im in the right trade to get "favors" done :p

All 2fast 2 cool products are imported . The big US dealers have it all made in China/taiwan and shipped in containers to US. Smaller dealers just buy from the US distributors. In some cases the stuff is shipped directly from the States to the UK buyer. The UK ebay seller just earns a comission and never handles the goods.

Its usual for the parcels to be marked as "Warranty replacement parts" or summat similar with a "nominal" value of $10 or $20 so the price you see/pay on ebay is the price on your doorstep..... Job done!

Just had a clutch from the States myself by this method. ;)

And some silicone hoses too from someone else.

So Im fitting "Taiwan Tat" to my car

I would not want to fit a set laying on my back so hope you have a lift to get the car up in the air on, studs breaking will be a pain if it happens, fitting is not a technically difficult job just awkward to get to some bits.

Hey Gaz,

Just installed headers on my N/A. It's a bit of a pain to get leverage on all the bolts to loosen and tighten them but I did it. Happy to come by and give you some help.

I have a set of these and I was going to blank off the lamba boss on the O/S mainfold and install it in the top of the Decat pipe thus freeing up more space to clear the column.

I introduce Leon to this forum and know his gear is good. He's made system for my TRD and a complete system for my Blues car, but I really couldn't justify £400 for the NA headers when there isn't much wrong with these ones. Yes there's a bit of messing around but worth it I think.

Will tell you when there on.
