With regards the manual conversion, is it possible to use the auto box loom as to my knowledge its gonna be the speed sensor wiring, the start inhibit circuit and rev lights. Rev lights I was gonna wire up through a switch (plus I have other lights to fit to the car). The guys that are (hopefully) gonna carry out the conversion are only gonna do the bare bones of the job, I was gonna finish it off and was hoping the start circuit can be by-passed, speed sensor can be joined to the auto loom, and leave the reverse lights.

Fantastic. If it comes to it I will change the loom to the manual when I get the car back. I am guessing its quite straight forward, I will have a look at the wiring diagram later.

Cheers for the reply. John

Cheers for that but the reason for my question is that I was gonna carry out the conversion myself with the parts from my donor car but I am going to give it to a local garage who has 300 experience and has done a conversion as well. Am just trying to keep the work they carry out to a minimum to keep the cost down. If I need to change the loom to the manual one I will so in my time as well as the vacuum pipes as well but thats another issue.

Its neater to keep the auto loom and it connects behind the headlight, where as switching to the manual loom dosen't. But i do know a couple of changes to make like to the inhibitor.
