Totally agree, although I do have a real thing for the Lotus Carlton. :)

I'd forgotten about them, Si :slap:

I'd not say no to one of those either.....

Richard:)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I remember having a little play with one on a private road. It was 380bhp and 4 up. I was on my own in the standard zed. He couldn't pull away from me at all.

thats going t be one quick car, gonna shock some saxo owners that will lol

did they do a 4x4 cosworth - i thought the 4x4 was the 2.8i and the cosworth was the 2 litre turbo

yes mate they done a 4x4 saphire, the early rwd were much more fun for their day

fast , quick , great street cred and road presence but now old and now brittle ..........and will have been thrashed mercilessly most of its life .............it was only designed to have 220bhp the RS500 was designed to take up to 500bhp and had chassis brakes to match , the saphire cossie is on its limit of the chassis coping at 300 bhp .......so unless extensive susspension and brake upgrades have been done i would steer clear.
