Mine was like that that when i picked it up, gave it a good blast on the motor way. my dad was behind in the mr2, everytime i droped it a big cloud of black sut blasted out,

All gone now :D

LOL I keep having to take it out to give its insides a 'clean' :D

My car has almost everything you have stated and i can asure you i am not a boy racer.

The car is mint, under the bonnet under the car, and the engine is also well looked after and i very very rarely take it above 3000rpm and runs sweet, oil is changed every 1k.

So if you was to see my car you would of walked away because of its looks, and you would of passed on a perfect machine ;)

If you came to drive my car for an hour, i would drop you off in the middle of no where and tell you to piss off :p

please, cool it dude...

1. your car would not be on sale for 2k...

2. i wouldn't have come to look at your car in the first place because it would have been expensive for me, price and insurance...

3. i can from the work you've had carried out on your car see that you have loved it in a big way

4. that does not mean that i have to have the same taste as you, as per bodystyling

5. why are you telling me to piss off for giving a guy who is buying his first 300zx for ***£2000*** (and by the sounds of it his first performance car) the best advice i possibly can... isn't that what this forum is here for? have you honestly seen any of the £2k cars on the market inthe last 6 months? well i've seen few - and i can tell you for FACT that many of them are not worth the money *IN MY OPINION*, UNLESS YOU ARE READY TO SPEND ANOTHER £2K ON THEM - IN WHICH CASE WHY NOT GET A £4K car in the first place?

come on, man - i said nothing wrong at all and i'm honestly getting very upset with these sorts of replies... leave me in the middle of nowhere? really... :slap:

You need to read the smilies as well as the text ;)

The engines are designed to run on boost and if they don't see this often enough will soon coke up and have all sorts of problems.

Mine must be in fookin good nick then

Oh and if you read the other posts, its NOT his first Z - he's already had 2 lol

Wise advise for 1st time buyers. Although in Malkie300zx's case this is the 3rd zed he's buying this year (previous 2 were TT's) , he has a bit of an addiction to buying and selling them LOL

Im nitpicking I know, but you missed it on previous page ;)

I'd far rather buy a car that had had its legs stretched once in a while than a coked up shopping trolley!!!

100% agreed, but let's be serious now the most importnat words in that sentence are "ONCE IN A WHILE"... then you go on to talk about a particular car driven to work by a lady. Now let's use a bit of common sense here. What percentage of £2K 300ZZ TTs!!!! FFS!!! on the market today are daily drivers to work, huh? i can tell you right now less than 10% maybe even 10% only! hah! i can tell you right now that at that price level it's closer to 50%... and my opinion is based on *MY* first hand eperience... so i've had enough of your off-topic chatter boys... why don't you tell the lad looking for a £2k ZED if JUMVEA or BIMTA are worth anything or not? if you know, that is... ;)

I think this guy is only trying to offer some very sound advice to someone who is looking to purchase a £2000 Zed... and at £2000 the chances are it will "probably" be a right dog. Yes, he could have worded his thread a little better but I'm sure we have all made similar mistakes in the past. We must also remember that the forum is here to have some good banter - and we are certainly getting that with this one.

I love to bring mine on stong boost. It's why I bought a turbo car. It's why most buy them. I treat mine well though and never rag the nuts off it, just once in a while I like to stretch the car's legs a bit and remind me what a swift machine it is...I usually do that in France where the roads are smoother and have 70% less traffic on them!. :)

being that both my previous 2 zeds were under 2k first had a crap back spoiler the next needed a bit of bodywork i know that you can be lucky the first i had was great shouldnt of sold it but baby and needing a damn 4x4 was why i did but i missed the car so much i bought the red tt and everything i have driven since doesnt have half the character of a zed !!

as dave said im just hooked for life i guess!!!

Here, here ;) Mind you I paid 2.5k for mine, but it is a good one...touch wood only had to change the clutch :p Needed a respray, but the insurance kindly paid me 5k to do this :D

which is 100% clear to anyone who has seen your sig - one of very few white cars that puts a smile on my face everytime i see it... :smw: wanna sell it? let's starting the bidding at two thousand pounds... ;)

P.S. so does anyone have any opinions on JUMVEA or BIMTA validity or worth on the forum for this potential buyer?

lucky for you, how about you give the fellow some advice as you clearly have some experience in picking what he's looking for...

and how about some info on how i get mine repainted with my isurance company, come to think of it... :smw:

Yep, I did exactly that last weekend ...........and got pulled. I was just about to storm past a 200sx when he put on his hazards. If he hadn't done that I could well have been in lost licence territory. I owe that person a beer. In the end I got the speed lecture as he hadn't been able to clock me properly.

a zed is easily the fastest all round car ive driven a good package subarus evos and all the rest quick yes a zed though just doesnt stop pulling and thats what i love and the fact that no one knows what they are and capable of!!!

Why thank you. :)

I think I am going to keep it even when I get something else....NSX/348 etc I'll still keep it. Just isn't worth me bothering selling it for the little I'd probably get for it. I'd like to hope it would get £6k+, but I doubt that it ever would and with the prices they have hit now, it just really isn't worth it. So I'll either put it in a museum or a lockup.

I like the Z because of the looks. I loved the shape of it, even before I knew anything abouts its credentials and have always wanted one. Always loved the shame which is why mine stays fairly stock looking. Just a few updates here and there and that's all it needs.

Sure, Evos and Imprezas handle well and go quickly, but they just don't look special. Infact I've never really been into the looks of them, early Evos especially with their hateful bodykits etc.

The Z has power and looks and luckily, the thing costs little to buy now.

I'd prefer an F430

Which is how much more? I prefer earlier Ferraris. F355 is and always will be the prettiest. One of my mates had a 348 when he was 21 and the thing was incredible. That high revving V8 sounded fantastic.

F430 is FAR better looking than the 355 - oh yeah and the 355 was slow, absolutely cained one round a track and yes the driver WAS pushing it!

Personal prefs Si :) When we went to the british GP last year there was an F430 parked outside - awesome awesome piece of machinery!!!!

F40, F50 or F60 then? Personally don't really like any of them, would prefer the Maserati MC12 though :D
