I guess 1/4 miles are the best way to see who has the quickest car.

I've done a 13.5 on stock turbo's/injectors with normal tyres on the rear, hping to drop that a fair bit once the cars finished.

Have a look at this thread.

If you have a 1/4 mile time and haven't posted it, tag it onto the end of the link below.

Better grip would have seen a MUCH better time :)

Nice Time Andy.

I think we probably have less than 10 sub 13 cars on here so far !

Cheers Stuart :) Just a shame the car is now spread all over the country, thanks to the guy who was driving the skyline next to me

It's a good idea, just a shame not everyone uses it.

mines the afstest at getting pranged and scratched if that counts lol

mines the fastest at getting broke and the slowest at getting fixeded.

but eeeoorrr would have you all at the 1/4 mile.

you found him then lol, where was he, in the ripspeed section at Halfrauds lol

depends on how you measure fastest dont it?

The one that gets from point A to point B in the lowest time is usualy the definition!....

umm, but thats not alway a true definition though. EG: a scooby could be quicker than a zed to get to 300 yards, but the zed could beat it at say 600 yards. its all down what the distance that has to be covered. :D

Agreed

1/4 mile

Top speed

Around a race track

There are cars on here that I have no doubt would kill others in a drag race...but would get eaten alive around a circuit.

There are some well known capable examples :

Mac 1

CJ

Machine's Pentroof

Paul300zxzx old red slicktop (where did it go?)

Markzx

Jaffa

Boomin32

Bebuche

ChrisC

And there are quite a few in the pipeline..... Slick pete, Mine, Jaffaz32, John Dixon, Deve8uk

(apologies if I missed anyone out...just what i could remember of top of my head)

Personally i like the 0-100-0 test. Its all well and good having all the bhp in the world, if you cant brake as efficiently, whats the point!

wasnt CJs 600+ at the flywheel?

im picking mine up tonight after running in pt. 1, should be around 450 at the fly when shes ready to go properly.

What mods are you having dave?

on top of the ones i had before - decats, divorced downpipes, 360 degree b/b turbos, 555s, z1 smics, koyo rad, new eprom, forged pistons,

click on my sig to get my spec, its just a matter of how much boost i dare run when she's run in - i think 17psi should be safe.

might not make 450 on 17 tho

I ran 16 today and only managed 370

your side mounts might be better tho, thats what stopping me going any further.

as far as I know, they look stock but they seem to be coping fine

still running slightly rich at 16psi with no signs of dett etc

so its not for lack of fuel, its the intake temps

70c at high rpm

They werent able to get the fan pointed directly at both ic's at the same time, so it might make more on the road.
