Very curious to know what silly things people have done over the years, be it by accident on purpose or just plain stupidity.

For example:

Like last week while on the way to the tracking garage i tryed to show off doing a U turn but ended up hitting a kurb and bending a wishbone , i just fitted new inner hicas bushes which also bent. was literally right out side the garage so ended up just limping home. Wont be doing that again too soon. :mac1: :mac1:

So what you guys done? and come on i know you lot are far from angels

this should be interesting.

Haha theres a good collection of stupidity here but this post is by far finished haha

i have a long think about this one and get back to you all as ive got some pretty horrific ones and need to work out the worst

a couple of years ago when i had just started working for the hire car company they got in a merc 2 door slk what a machine i begged to be the 1st one to deliver it to a customer the chap wasnt in so i got to take it home for the night took our lass out in it and tried to scare her cos it was wet booted into a carpark lost the backend and ended up plowing into the front of a shop that was in the retail park last time i turn off the traction control lol it was in the local paper too nearly lost my job and it cost me 900 quid to sort out....dumb stuff you do as a kid ( and continue to do as an adult )

That's a little reminscent of one of the MR2 owners;

He ordered his car. Waited. Waited.

Toyota called "Sir, there's a little problem with your car"

"What's that then?"

"Well, they've just dropped it off the transporter"

"And.. the problem?"

"That's the problem. They just dropped it off the transporter. Backwards. Off the top deck. With the driver in it"

Oops!

had se.....

um probably stalled whilst trying to 'show off' *ahem*

Does that actually count as stupid? I don't know, but I'd have thought it'd be quite fun myself (never got to try that one out, though)..

Depends who with! your other halfs best mate is not the best of ideas! :nelson: last time I ever drink at a works christmas do!

Geeez, where do I begin?

1. Took moms 69 Camaro for a drive on the fire roads in LA. Broke down and coasted/pushed it back to the highway and walked home. Didn't tell my dad till the next morning, we went to pick it up and some A-hole had stuffed a matress under it and lit it on fire, completely gutting the car. Never drove my parents car again...

2. At a party with friends late Friday night and decided it would be a good idea to drive to Mammoth mountain to go sking the next morning ( a six hour drive). Drove all night, skied all day, and then drove home feeling a bit tired. About one hour from home fell asleep, drove right over the back on a little MG. When I woke up the MG was spinning in circles in my rear view mirror and I was heading for the barier. Just manged to pull up before I hit the wall. (ended up rolling the truck and totaling it two months later with my brother as passenger and his friend in the back, everyone walked away).

3. Riding the GSXR from work in Italy when it started pouring rain. Got off at the next exit to put on the water proofs but as I drove off the exit decided that I could just make a U turn on the off ramp and pull back onto the motorway under a bridge. Problem was when I looked over my left shoulder to check traffic I drove right in the barrier on my right... broken frame, panels, etc, but no injury.

I took my sisters car out for a spin with a mate without my sis or family knowing, before i had even passed my driving test, thinking i was the dogs nuts handbrake turns etc. "Just as my mate said ok thats enough lets just take it home now" just one more handbrake turn....... so yep you guest it, i walloped the front left wheel on a raised kurb and wrote the damn thing off, absolutley shitting my pants as to what my parents were goin to do to me.

I ran home picked up a screw driver, plyers and some other hand tools, ran back to the car and ripped up the interior, smashed up the windows and made out it had been hot wired. went back home to bed.

Couple hours later my parents woke me up with some bad news about the car being nicked and police were round..... to this day ive kept it a secret. :mac1: :mac1:

your parents got a phone number jimmy ? its bribery time guys :hyper:

Bought this thing about 5 years ago for under £90 while one of my other cars was a bit poorly.

Was the worst car I have EVER owned. Completely miserable Golf 1.4CL. 4 speed box.....which needed arms of steel to shift the gears.

It came with M3 mirrors....not just that, they were LED M3 Mirrors!!!!!!!! I booted those off almost imediately and left them in a Maccy's car park for someone.

Also, not sure if you can see from the pics, that the rub strip recesses....are not there. Yup, full of filler and fibreglass. I did attempt to hit the lot out with a hammer and managed to dislodge most of it. Also, the washer jet holes had two lovely dollops of fibreglass, these too were smacked out.

Only had about 67k on the clock. But the bodywork was totally ruined.

Anyway, I gave it absolute death. Bit of rally driving gave it the well used look.

Nice wheel.

Well, this one time, we had rather a lot of rain and one of the roads near where I was living in Fareham. Place was flooded.....badly. So we decided to take the Golf down there and kill it!

Looked quite deep....

It was pretty deep...

Then suddenly, water came right over the bonnet...water started coming in through the doors as well. Was really funny at the time.

Pedal to the floor, revs dropped, but it carried on running. Managed to get out of the other side.

Gave it death all the way back home. Spend the new few weeks giving it even more death. It didn't die. I sold it in the end for twice what I paid for it.

Horrid horrid car.

Tried to race a 3ltr granada away from the lights in my first car (Escort MK2 1.3) and ripped half the first gear teeth of the cog and first motion shaft.

I managed to drive slowly about a mile with the car clunking and banging and locking up every now and again, until it locked up solid.

I ended up having to reverse the fooker another half mile home. Half the lights in my street came on as I made my way along it at a snails pace at quarter to one in the morning, the noise was fookin horrendous.

haha thats a goodun..................... i like that one

Daftess thing I can think of in a car was when turning off a road I saw some mates in their cooper s waiting at the junction, tried to show off by turning in fast, went up the pavement and hit the wall at the side of the road........ they were suitably impressed.

Funniest thing in a car was watching the look on my passengers face as we were crashing sideways into a dry stone wall on Anglesey. He was about three foot higher than me at the time (car nearly rolled), ashen faced, wide eyed and his specs were suspended in mid air at the point of no gravity.

Then the old couple I'd teararsed passed five bends previous dawdled on by and it was suddenly rather embarrasing.

If you want to talk bike crashes mind you, I could tell you a few tales.

Where shall i start;

In my first car, s13 200sx, i was approaching a roundabout when i could see a soft top merc full of girls cooming up to the entrance on my left so i thought," i know, i'll give it some tail out, that will impress them":xxx: so i gave it a bootfull in second on a shiney roundabout on standard rubber...

For the next 10 seconds i saw trees/armco/trees/armco/trees/armco with plumes of smoke behind me :o

About 6 monthes later i was waiting at some lights when an integra pulled up next to me, so we both start giving it revs when the lights go green, i dump the clutch and....nothing the clutch had completly shat itself.

Went to sleep in one car and developed hypothermia.

Put a shopping bag with cans of beer in the rear foot well and after they rolled around for about half an hour one of them struck the seatbelt mount and fired its contents all over the insde of the car.

There's probably more :smw:

Decided to change the steering wheel in my vento without dissconnecting the battery first, had a blown eardrum from the airbag for 3 weeks.
