Of all the sports cars I have driven, I find the Z32's steering is not as good as I would like.

How do I achieve a sharper turn in? I can't see any guides for improving the feel.

Has anyone tried any mods to help?

Track car or road? If it was a track car you could run a little toe-out on the front.. not recommended on a road car though as it'll end up twitchy-as-you-like.

Polybushing the whole front suspension and the steering rack mounts will make a huge difference. Just remember that all the bushes in your front suspension are now over 10 years old and well past there best.

Ive just done my mates Scooby Legacy with WhiteLine polybush's. Made a huge difference, steering feedback improved no end and it felt alot sharper

Whats the car suspension setup spec so far and what tyres does it have ?

You want to reduce understeer and sharpen up the steering - Uprated Suspension, Adjustable Anti-roll bars, Adjustable arms, Polyeurothene steering rack bushes and Solid steering coupler dampner and then a proper laser alignment.

The Polybushes and solid steering coupler dampner will improve feel.

this is one of the reasons why i dont like my wheels bigger than 17"

WORD ;)

A usefull tip!

Cannot say from experience but I have heard that whiteline anti-roll bars are the preferred choice for nimble turn in and responsive feedback...

The smaller tyre side wall on larger wheels actually increases "feel" and "response".

whos that kid with shaving cream on his napper in your avatar

dont agree bud,ime running 17,s with a 40 section on the front as apposed to a 45 and feels like its got go-cart wheels ;)

Nothing to agree/disagree with...its fact ;) :p

Ofcourse the larger you go the more unsprung weight your adding, and the further outtowards the cirumference the weight is positioned. Thats why High quality lightweight wheels are so important, far to many cheap designer wheels being used out there.

The Z32 like other Jap cars of that era came with 16's becuase of tyre profile limitations/regulations in Japan(same reason imports have smaller rear wheels than UK spec).

Going to a +2 (18") on the Z32 is an ideal setup IMO.

you said it so it must be right then  there must be another reason why all the cars ive ever owned allways turn in faster with a lighter and smaller rolling mass on the front and stated as my "personal" choice

yeah but its harsh and more likely to wear components at a higher rate ;)
