I was just reading the Z1 site about their long blocks and they say that having a dented sump can cause oil starvation as there is only a small gap between the bottom of the sump and the oil pickup, especially bad if there is a dent in that area.

 

My engine seems fine and pulled good figures on the dyno.

 

Should I be changing the sump? Where abouts is the oil pickup?

 

If you do.... can I have your old one?

What you want it for, its dented!

 

Anyone know where the pickup is and does mine look dented in that area or am I being paranoid?!

yours dont look to dented to effect anything really

aye none of them are really deep, just wondered where the pickup was.
