im looking to fly to houston texas to visit a friend towards the middle of next year.

where and who would you recommend for the cheapest flight. been searching but all seems a little daunting and also mentions stops eg 1 stop 2 stops. which i thought would be a cheaper price but seems to be a bit more expensive  LOL.

i want thr cheapest and also thjought if i book well in advance it would be cheap but seem to be getting prices around £460 return. does that sound about right or are there bargains to be found.

tiz about right mate. not many deals as fuel is more expencive.

if you realy want to go cheap you could see if a courier service needs a important package delivered in person. its cheaper and a lot of agro.

personaly id rather get there the fastest, and that means a shedualed flight.

I would say the top 2 to look at are AA and Virgin.

One thing you need to remember is with most of the "low cost" airlines they do not put baggage allowence into the cost and you end up paying more when leaving the uk and even more sometimes when your coming back at check in.

Also with the above airlines i'm 99% sure you still get all your inflight drinks free of charge!! :duffer:

I would look in work tomorrow for you but we dont fly to states other than sanford (work for Tui-uk)

Hope this helps a bit.

I've always found these guys to be pretty good on price Gaz - check with the airline direct as well though as they sometimes offer promotional fares ;)

keep them coming the more the better LOL

i have tried loads to book over the net its a pain in the @rse, so i just go to thomas cook as IMO to save a few hundred £ for a crap flight is not worth it. If it was europe then i would but america is a long flight

I've always used http://www.dialaflight.com and http://www.ebookers.com for all my flights to the US. Always found them to be the cheapest whenever I've bought long haul flights. Dial-a-flight especially. My last trip I was with ebookers. Nearly bought a flight to the UAE with dial-a-flight a few weeks ago and they seem to be generally the cheapest across the board.

come to stansted chap... american airlines have recently just started flying out of here and are offering dirt cheap flights to the states...

otherwise another cheap transatlantic operator is max-jet, but hurry, they are so cheap that they might go bust soon :x:

oh and rest assured for a safe flight with both as yours truly will prolly have gashed it ready to g... i mean, seen you off!
