Hi all,

Ive started taking my engine out this weekend and while im at it i wanted to remove the following as i understand removal of these items are worth doing.

EGR removal

Plenum water bypass

AIV removal

Is there any step by step guides for removal that i can print off i did do a quick search but was unable to find anything!

lol beat me to it. theres loads of info on here.

Great thanx for your help paulzx so are these all worth doing?

Its what im in the process of doing. I know quite a few others have done it too.

Aircon gone - better cooling

EGR gone - less to go wrong, no more impossible to find boost leaks

AIV gone - less to go wrong, no more gurgling noise/less weight

Carbon Cannister gone - no more chances of boost leaks

FPRV gone - less to go wrong (if it does, possible melted piston time)

TB Coolant Bypass - get rid of perishable coolant hoses and elimintate those pesky water leaks

And there's more LOL

Cheers,

Andy

keep the air con is my advice ;)

 Yeah cos we all know how hot the UK is  ;)

FPRV - just run a vac line directly from the top passenger side of the plenum to the fuel reg then get rid of all the bumf in the passenger wing area....
