ecu code reading fault

Hey folks

 

Just wondered if anyone could shed any info on why I cant get the ecu to go into fault mode as i wanted to check for any errors,ive shorted the correct pins several times but nothing(ive just about read every thread about this via search before posting just to make sure i wasnt overlooking something :confused: )

 

Got a '91 n/a jap import if its of any help

Have you got the ignition on when doing it? Daft quetion but it has been known lol

Andy you wouldnt believe mate what ive tried..lol..but yeh i had the ign on mucca

Ok next step is to lift the floorboard on the passenger side and try turning the potentiometer on the ecu to get it into diagnostic mode

Could have a dead conzult port, have seen before. It gets moved around a lot and can damage wires. Try the Potentiometer method
