can we delete the S. East section as its a complete waste of time.

no one ever bothers to go to anything, in fact everyone from the Seast goes to teh Scentral meets. in 4 years ive met more people from places over 100 miles away from here than I have in my own town of closer.

Anyone who tries to organise anything is wasting their time so whats the point of having a S.East Section ffs.

rant over.

if you dont agree have a look at howm many things have been organised by people and nothing happens.

Unfortunatley, with all the best will in the world, you cant force people to attend meets. shame though. :(

the thing is everyone from this neck of the woods is going to SC meets. havent got anything against that at all. Thats my point, whats the point of this section if people dont go to anything organised here. Just stick it in the SC area and jobs a goodun.

well , i'm going to the south east xmas grasshoper meet, despite being south central. hopefully someone else will too

I did sign up for south east but all the meets were essex / southend / bluewater way (apart from the boxhill to brighton which has been very popular the ast couple years), so i joined south central instead

yep. but no one from anywhere else in the SE organises any event. Im not organising an event in an area I have no idea about.

4 years ago I met up regularly once a month with at least 5 members from the southend area, they have more or less dissapeared. The new ones, well I think I have only met a handfull in the past 2 years, and I have to say they have become good mates.

how teh hell can you have a car club with out the club bit. makes no sense to me. and just hanging about till there is some huge meet somewhere again defies logic.

I know in a 10 mile radius of southend there are at least 12 members on here. I know 1 person personaly. I would like to meet more but I just give up trying to get things organised.

well when i was sc events organiser i found it hard to find the right meet for everyones interest. some will some won't you just have to accept it. the main part is the first minutes of turning up. tbh i f somebody dont talk to me within 5 of me getting out of my z then whats the point. communication is the key and i know cos im crAP AT IT.im so fooking shy around new people its effects my sleep. i had to force myself to say hello to people . when i did i got good responses. but now i have stopped its gone back to the way it was.

get them organised and whoever turns up meet and great it works every time. there are quite a few if not all in the s c group who i would class as friends. they are all great and all up for getting together for a meet.

there lies you problem.

I try and organise stuff, but the last 5 I have tried have all fallen flat on their ass.

other than nick I have not met one other club member from teh southend area, there are at least 12 of them ffs. Some are registered but I think 4 are subscribed. If I walked past tehm in teh street I wouldnt know who they are. Would also help if thoes people needed help with thier cars.

there are 2 eexceptions here. Mike groves and Russ. Both of whome dont come on here anymore.

This subject has come up many times before and I think every region (including South Central) has had problem with attendence at events at one time or the other. My solution has been to become a club whore, I now belong to 7 different clubs -

300zx.co.uk

Zclub

Hampshire Jap Car Club

Banzai

Dorset Japenese Car Club

Jap Girls

Torque Power

Each of these clubs has strengths and weaknesses, but between them there is something on every week.

Today - DJCC Pub Meet

18/11 - HJC Brag Run (Poker Run)

23/11 - Wozzer's Amsterdam run (still time to sign up!)

2/12 - 300zx SC Christmas meet

yeah you can never please everyone... :(

You dont organise meets and someone always whinges and tries to tell you how to do it.

When you do organise a meet someone always whinges because its too far, or the wrong day, or the wrong place, or you have picked the wrong thing to do, and then they dont pitch up.

I know what you mean too, we just get the usual turn out but just make the very best of it and have nice meal and chat, pics etc :hyper:

Well I lost count of the ammount of meets I put together and no one turned up for while I was the South East REO. And that was the reason I stepped down, there was absolutly no point in having an events organisor for the South East as no one wants to meet up from this area.

And thats a real shame as a few years ago once a month was always at least five cars down the Dick Turpin every month for a beer and a good old chat. But as Chris said, all those were the old guys who dont come on here any more, or dont have Zeds.

Also just out of interest, where is our curent REO????? Neil has not even attempted to get a meet going in months!!!

i havent got a car atm. zeds ill due to no fault of its own and more to do with teh owner.

tracey has matches on weekends, as do I so cant make all.

on another note, fancy a beer over xmas nick? see if we can get grovsey out?

Yeah course I do fella, just let me know when is good. :duffer:

I've been to meets at the turpin and south mims.

I've also been to couple in the midlands, 1 in cornwall, 1 in reading which was a jap car meet, and I have also been to gratham water. I did go to one at the grasshopper but was the only car to turn up. That tends to make you think twice about driving for an hour or so just to have a crappy carvery.

I enjoy meeting up with others but find the trip to the turpin every month tedious. It isn't the best pub in the world and the food isn't great. I like to go to different places and try them out and then next month go somewhere else. After all variety is the spice of life.

That said you can't please all the people all the time.

Darrell

i still come on :) just been really busy at work, if you pm me i'm up for a beer and curry, i'll see if i can get ahold of russ also :)

awsome.

im good anytime realy. thursdays are a no go as Ill be coching till late.

Why not merge the SE and SC regions and simply call it "South"....?

Just a thought ;)

tis sad but true. but it wont make anyone in this area get off their ass any more.

whats teh difference between teh norht and the south.

apparently the north recon they are more friendly.. Based on this evidence and teh amount of meets and events they all go to I would say its true.

I know what you mean Dave, i gave up too. what happend to the Dick Turpin meets/ Lake side meets etc etc. even the main events like santa pod are not attended. Had to go on other clubs stands this year

i'm not even re subscribing to a club that has poor events, i'm even thinking of selling the car

Dont do that, you bought the car for yourself, you can still go out and get enjoyment from it.
