Whilst at Santapod yesterday (it rained all day so no runs were to be had ) I was enquiring about the cost to hire the track during a week day.

Would there be any interest in a Santa Pod day, say early summer 2008 (weekday)??????????

You would have

Plenty of time to learn the skills

Little or no pressure

Exclusive access to the track

As many runs as you can fit in

Our cars (or invited clubs/cars)only

Canteen and toilet facilities

No motorbikes (unless they were invited)

If we could get as little as 30 people to commit, it may be affordable

Yes ok you would have to sacrifice a day off from work but it wouldnt half be fun.

Who knows, maybe the 300zx.co.uk guys would like to enter a shootout with us or maybe if there are any other car clubs that would like to share the cost.

Thoughts please (and remember you own sports cars, its what their built for)

depends on how much. but yes

I would also love to do this - always fancied razzing the car down the strip, but am a bit scared of the pressure of an open day - I know, sad, but true.

Club day, however - sounds like a cracking idea!

CheerZ,

I could very easily be persuaded.

still no reply on cost

If i could get the red one up and running, I would consider it, although I worry about humiliation as I am a very slow and under confident driver lol.

IMO this wont happen any time soon.

The 2008 Z Club Drag challenge is already under way( Ist round last Sunday)

Its a struggle to get more than 10 people to turn up for these events at £30 a day let alone persuade enough people to turn up during the week to make such a day viable.

i appreciate what your saying Pete however, nothing ventured nothing gained!!

I for one would love the opportunity to be able to par take in a track/ rwyb day, away from the masses and the big boy chavs ( and the big bhp cars that take over the show), so I can have a go without the fear of humiliation. Im sure if enough people were wanting to attend, this could be a worthwhile venture.

Its just a shame the venues command such a high fee.

Its one day off work and it would be fun, surely its got to be worth a day of anyones time?
