when i bought my exhaust from topless it looked fantastic (and still does) but i wasnt too happy with the sound, it sounded tinny and rattly, i didnt say anything as i was still happy with the deal and look that i got

but lately its started to sound a lot deeper and a tadge louder, it actually sounds awesome, its not as loud as my old scorpion but it sounds better, ive also recieved a few comlpliments on the sound, so all in im now 100% happy with the system (well 99%, not to keen on the slight bee in a tin noise at 3000 RPM lol)

must also say the transaction between me topless and japspeed was very smooth and trouble free

so its a deffo posotive feedback for both topless and japspeed, good work guys

Just had my custom ProSpeed system fitted. I was a tad disappointed with the 'quietness' of the sound when it first started up.

I took it for a spin and realised that if it were any louder the new noise that is now audible within the cockpit would in time get on my nerves.

Also my zorst builder said that the system would 'bed in' over a few hundred miles and actually raise in decibels by about 5 or 6.

I didn't know zorsts bedded in - but I can only put that down to the emission residue coating the wadding and muffler parts to the extent that sound absorbtion reaches it's max and therefore the output gets louder.

Also the note on a Turbo powered car will never have the same sound as a NA car due to the massive interuption in the gas flow waves by the turbo impellers - the sound waves only start to sort themselves out by the time they reach the tail boxes. It doesn't mean the turbo has a worse note or tone - it's just different.

The H balancer pipe will always make a twin V6 zorst sound a bit v10 or v 12.

Not being a 'Boy Racer' my zorst guy said, 'I gave you a more mature and quality sound' now what's he trying to say?

I'll keep you posted as the miles roll on. If not totally convinced then he has agreed to reduce my tail boxes by another inch diameter and an inch in length - but these may just grow on me.

Auto's are a pain with a constant drone - so if you're not careful what sounds great in the workshop or going up the High Street may cause you some 'mental issues' after a long haul on the Motorway. (Again, may not apply to most Zed owners as clearly something seriously lacking with us to start with, Ah hem! ). Meethinks a set of Bose speakers may well combat any such 'feature' of a new zorst.

A bi-product of this new system has been the tendency to keep flooring it just to max out the growl. This will of course reduce fuel consumption and mean I'm less efficient (which has no meaning at all in Zed-speak...............)

Anyhoo, my tuppence worth.

I'll put pics of the new twins ASAP.

ps I think a warning here for anyone considering a new 'loud' system. Start a tad softer than you want and just wait. It'll go up a few notches on it's own. Then if not satisfied you can go for louder. Starting the other way round - you'll get fed up and wish you hadn't chopped yer old system.

Yeah that is right but so random, surely it should be the other way around, with the build up with carbon deposits you would of thought the system would quite down.

Also i was sitting in a car park and a Zed was sitting there in front of me, he got in and left and was omg that sounds so cool, so i only assume it was a NA as by system is complete straight through and big cans and sounded nothing like that.
