arrrrrghghhh help please

Yesterday the car was fine. No warning lights on etc etc.

Today I gave the insides a good vacuum and a gentle wash. Went to go out for a spin about an hour ago but couldn't because:

I disarm with the remote.

Put key in the ignition, and turn it 2 clicks.

ABS light stays on.

Turn key again to start engine and bloody alarm goes off instead!!!

Now too theres a loud buzzing noise too from either behind the engine or under the battery or behind the nearside wheel arch liner. Somewhere around that area!

Any ideas ?

Its a laserline 996T3. Weird how it's been wired in. I unlock with the fob and get in. Key in ignition click 2. then I have to press the remote button again and the stuff comes on. Weird.

However I think I might have found the cause.

Battery reads 10.1 volts with everything off. As soon as the key is in the ignition the bat is giving power to:

The cars electric's

Carputer (90w psu), lcd, usb gps, usb soundcard, obd adaptor.

2 Alpine v12 amps.

I don't reckon I'm gonna be cranking the starter with that lot and 10.1volts & this colder weather :) Alarm weirding out because of it.

Had this before on my 306, work done on it mechanically & electrically by me and I would not start the engine. Starter made a weird shuffle noise. That battery seem fine as it was putting out 12volts (i'd charged it up) - but it just wasn't holding it. Took me a week of evenings to work out the battery was just a gonner.

Battery is charging so here hoping it's as simple as that :)

I had a problem with a flat battery with a Clifford alarm in the past, sounds plausible.

Well i'm chuffed to find out that it was indeed the battery! Popped a new Varta 75amp in there and sorted :)
