The suspicion was elaborated in a later history by Sir Thomas More:-

“ On the night of October 11 while lying in on a bed [the king] was suddenly seized and, while a great mattress... weighed him down and suffocated him, a plumber's iron, heated intensely hot, was introduced through a tube into his secret parts so that it burned the inner portions beyond the intestines. ”

It was rumoured that Edward had been killed by the insertion of a piece of copper into his rectum (later a red-hot iron rod, as in the supposed murder of Edmund Ironside).

Murder in this manner would have appeared a natural death, as a metal tube would have been inserted into the anus first, thus allowing the iron rod to penetrate the entrails without leaving a burn on the buttocks.

Who was the best friend (or so he thought) of One Henry the VIII who's fathers dubious parentage and claim to the thrown was relient upon discrediting the House of york and all it's offspring. Yet it was Henry the VII own father who was incharge of the tower of London when the princes dissapeared and their bodies were never found. Which lead to many stories including that of the userper who appeared during Henry VIII reign clamming to be Arthur of Lancaster and the rightfull heir to the thrown. He was locked up in the Tower (again if you believe it was he) until he met a similar end.

They wern't squeemish about getting rid of monachs in those day. Thats gotta hurt though.

It's the same with Jessica in 'Murder She Wrote'

Wherever she goes, there's always at least one murder!! I'd say it's best that if she turns up anywhere that you are, then get out of town bloody quick!!! :D :)

yea and kids still drink frosty jack on the corners while wearing cheap imitation designer clothing and conversing via chinese "tat" excuses for expensive phones while all this history and education sits on book shelves around the country  ;)
