My car is stored at my parents house. Some drunk lady has smashed into the side of it whilst it was parked up :cry: . She has hit the rear passenger wheel and snapped the alloy in half (must of been really going for it !), and just to the left of it she has done the pillar and it is a definate write off ! I am only third party fire and theft so hoping she has insurance, although first assumptions are she doesn't !

 

Completely pi&&ed off now and I hope she gets a prison term !

Why does anyone who has a zed insure it 3rd party only :smash: :smash: . These cars are expensive to repair and i personally wouldnt even consider anything less than fully comp just incase these sort of incidents accured to mine.

Hope you can claim for the damages and the lady gets well n truly stuffed for her stupidity.gutted for yz bud,good luck with getting something sorted.

you will always be able to claim through the motoring industry bureau, if she aint insured or the insurance does not pay out you will be able to go down this route, your insurance company will advise you and claim it fronm her through the small claims court, they will prob write it off, they did with mine, you could always say you were sitting in the car and get a wiplash claim in lol

She tried to bugger off but only had three wheels as the impact had torn 1 wheel off hence she hit 6 other cars down the road trying to get away. I wasn't at home but my sister was and she chased her and called the police, she has been arrested !

Also why bother with fully comp. It seems like you get a scratch on it they will right it off.

 

Mine is fully comp. It sems that third party isn't that cheap any more anyway.

I think the insurance still pays out for 3rd party damage, but not her own as you say. 3rd party cover remains a minimum legal requirement, which she technically has in place.......

 

.............but if she has voided her insurance cover by drink driving then I guess the insurers would be in their rights to recover all claims they meet from her later?

 

I hope this is the case and you get it sorted quickly and easily mate. I assume you have legal assistance even with your 3rd party cover?
