having been looking around for the last few weeks for new wheels as 2 of my old ones have cracked and they look very tatty (they are old and came on the car) i think i have decided to go with the same size and company but different style

the new ones are compomotive PS 17 8 1/2" rear with 3 1/2" polished lip and 8" front 2 1/2 lip

cost shipped to dublin without tyres 1,550 for the set

as regards colour of spokes there is a choice of silver, gold, black, white or pewter grey, which do you think would look best on a red car,

they have some other lovely wheels but they said this model is the only one suitable for a z32 fitment

i cant do links, so if anyone wants to put up a pic that would be great

17s are just too small IMHO. Only 1" bigger than standard. Stick to non colours, so silver and / or anthracite.

If you're going to replace the rims make it worth while.

I think they are talking silly :nono:

Here's a pic of some MO's from their site...

As you can see they are on a rex which are the same fitment as the zed give or take a few mm on the offset.

I have a fondness for the grey/anthracite type colour (never look so dirty either!), so have a think about those.

red car... dark wheels :D i like the look... but its all down to taste really. before i bought my red zed (which came with the anthracite skyline wheels on it) i was never really into dark coloured wheels, but they grew on me very quickly and now iv changed to the darkside!

i dont think dark coloured wheels work on many colours especially not dark colours imo but the contrast with the red is to my liking.

i have another set of wheels that i used to have on my uk zed that are silver with a polished rim, they will eventually be going on but need reburbishing so il prolly paint them anthracite :) i did a little photoshop to see what they were like...

the rim has no tyre on it so its just propped up but if you squint you can get the idea ;) then again youd have to squint a hell of alot as they are a very different style to yours ;)

silver:

anthracite:

or anthracite with polished lip:

I agree but trishes old 17's suited her car so well,I drove behind it on a couple of occasions , they really looked made for it I would go for the same size.
