not really a problem but when on short runs the engine lifters can be heard

but when on a long run it ok sweet as a nut my question is would new lifters

solve this? or is it that they don't like short runs its a auto tt j reg

have done that new filter and some lifter lub going to put a oil presure gauge

on this week end but as I said runs really well just would like it to run without the ticking type tappy sound :D put a veilside exhaust on last week end really like the 300 better than my s13 but only just

Lifters can get gooed up, and take a while to free off only when they are really warm. and thet get stuck again when cold.

 

Some cleaner in the oil can help.

use a good quality diesel oil for a few hundred miles as the detergent in it is better so is its particle holding ability, if that doesnt work then try a cleaner/flush

What he said. My brother leaves it in for many times longer than the tin says and he never has a prob.
