Hi guys, just wondering about the bleed valves on my car, its fitted with two brass valves, problem is i am worried that the turbos are running slightly different boost. could i take them both off and join both these pipes with t-pieces and a single boost jet in the middle of em both?

as this imo should run em both at the same boost level.

cheers

 i would love to buy a boost controller but the MOT and Tax are due on the car and i need new rear tyres

turn them right down just now and fit a proper boost controller as soon as poss, mot and tax are no use when youve got a knackered engine, you could take them out and fit proper boost jets thats another option and much safer imho.

a lot of people say boost jets are unsafe i belive the concern is the boost can peak higher than the set value.ive used a bleed valve for about 2 years and my turbos are on there way out however they where on there way out when i upped the boost to 16psi.i have never noticed any peak but saying that its difficult to watch the gauge whilst flooring it :) but yes you can just use the one. but as said do so at your own risk boost controller is the best way to go

Bin the Bleed valves and fit a set of 1mm Boost jets (mig weld tips)

And an after market boost gauge if not already fitted...

here, here 1mm should give you about 14-15 safe psi and with a tried and tested chip will be reliable aswell ;)

ps: ime on my 3rd zed all run with tips and never sufferd turbo problems, but hey you do what you think your car will run better with at the end of the day

Yep the boost jets seem to be ok, my car was fitted with them when I bought it 3 years ago, and had been fitted for a while before apparently. the engine still runs pretty sweet. just a shame the rest of the car rusted and fell off the engine :D
