I agree with the general opinion here that the turbo size is the limiting factor, but I also have to question who told you that they could upgrade to a 360 degree ball bearing type.

A 360 degree bearing is a thrust bearing and a totally different cartridge so be aware.

theyve been rebuilt by midlands turbos to this spec (yes i know there's been one or two comments about this company) but my mechanic trusts them and he also knows his sht when it comes to Zs!

...don't keep us waiting too long!! :) When are you planning on visiting the dyno roughly? If your spec is "about to be" xyz then presumably you won't be on the dyno for a couple of months maybe?

the old girl should be ready by the end of next week. then it needs running in. as for dyno, i dont think id have the confidence to put the Z on a dyno for a long time after ive had her back!

Next week - wow good work! In all seriousness, getting straight on the dyno will run the engine in nicely actually - in one sitting! Get about 10 pulls under your belt and that's said to be equivalent to a 500 miles worth of wear!

Don't take stock compressors/housings beyond 17psi. The flow will not increase despite the pressure increase so no extra power will be gained. You will however heat the intake charge considerably, decreasing power output, increasing the risk of detonation and risk damaging the valve seats...
