boost cutting out????

My UK TT is boosting at 14psi and is fine in 1st, 2nd and 3rd, however in 4th on full boost it becomes very hesitant and the boost cuts in and out,

 

whats causing this, any ideas???

    I havnt hooked it up yet and wont be able to until the weekend, i have noticed however that even though the power is cutting in and out the psi on my boost guage is staying at a constant 14psi,

     

    also the car can be a bit hesitant if i put my foot doqn quickly in any gear, is this a sign i need new spark plugs?
