ive asked this one months ago and still need anwsers guys !!!!

my problem is the car starts to well  yep it starts to well after being stood for sometimes upto 1-2 weeks and the moment i turn the key it fires up even before oil pressure has built up causing the top end to rattle its dik off and i dont like that :nono: so how the hell or whats the best way to put an in-line switch in the ignition so that after ive cranked her over and brought the oil pressure up i can then flick a switch to energize the ignition and hey presto no fast moving parts with no oil ;)

just take out the ignition/enginestart fuse from the little fuse box in the engine bay the engine will crank pushing oil about but won`t fire up

the easiest way would be to have a fuel cut off switch fitted, either in the glove box or centre console. ive fiited a few of these on jags, mainly xk8`s as they tend to choke themselves up occationally.

yea thinkin down these lines myself and after reading the post above would be better to put switch before the fuel pump relay as to have a low amp load on switch i suppose cheers guys

remove the fuel pump fuse but dont remove the igntion one as the car wont even turn over LMAO.

that way you can crank the engine and still get oil around to the vital parts, its the first thing you do when you prime a new pair of turbos to stop premature wear/failure to them, so would work the same way with the general engine

just a thought but if your ignition timing is too far advanced the car will start very rapidly when cranked.worth checking.

hee hee, i have crept it around a degree or two just before it starts letting me know under full load and boost ;) but it runs hard like this so dont really want to retard it back mate if possible
