Number Plate Position and Maf failure?

We all know that the MAF we have does not like water, but the position of most number plates on imports allows water in through the top vent on the bumper straight onto the MAF!

 

Have got to admit the no plate position on the UK car, stop this occuring, so maybe contributes to UK cars rumoured improved relaibility?

    nah its that uk,s are allways laid up getting welding done and the maf never sees service :tongue:
