Not a sports car like the zed, but Turbocharged and RWD so the potential is there though.

250hp, noticably slower. Softer handling. Dull interior and exterior styling, but some more rear leg room and a bigger boot.

drove one a couple of weeks ago and was supprised at the driveabilty of the motor low down, also really sprung to life when on boost but the interior was dull and the type of car that could get boring after a while of ownership unlike the zed which excites everytime you fire it up :)

ive only driven a non turbo skyline and it felt very slow at the time i had a 98 almera gti running 176 bhp and i used to leave the skyline standin. At the moment things are tellin me to get rid of my zed especially the guilty feelin i get driving it around my area cause the roads are so bad and nothing but country lanes.ive always felt like the r34gtr is the ultimate car but not to sure about the r33gtst

I kind of see your point with the country lanes, I live in a similar setting. But is a higher powered better handling car gonna solve your problem? Unless you own the road itself, buying a duller and more common car may not be the answer

I've owned 4 Zeds and have had a '96 GTS-T type M for 2.5 years now ( going up for sale in the next Week ! :) to make room for the X )

The 300 has more brute power.. feels more of the musle car. but not as driveable as the Skyline. Have good feel for the road in the Zed, but it just feels like a heavier more dangerous car (expecially when it goes a little wrong, or when you see a decision ahead at speed ). The skyline is very low to the ground and I suspect considerably lighter ?.. when you wip it around tight corners or even get the back-end to kick-out a little.. it just feels like you are in more control. (split second reactions just feel more responsive ? ) Mind you these can be suble little things I'm talking about... but when you are on the edge.. this subtle confidence can appear very massive.

I love my Zeds and will probably never go a few years without one.. but the Skyline is such an easy driving, hoot of a car. ( I think some stupid international car&driver ratings put it just above the 300zx a couple years ago for drive )

When you get the Turbo kicking and your in the power band.. The GTS-T shifts very well ; never noticed a huge difference from a standard Zed. had a friend that upped the boost and power on his GTS-T.. but would just go for the GTR if that's what you want as you'll end up spending £4K + for mods.

Yes the interior is like a Vectra.. hence me getting a NSX ( very reminiscent to a Zed on the inside ) instead of a high end GTR

( never driven a GTR but can only imagine what beautiful things happen when you take a car that drives sooo sweet and then put at least 400 bhp through all 4 wheels. Unfortunately strife said No GTR in my drive.

Zed for Style and class,, Skyline for more nimble (light weight??) assuring drive.

Skyline for chav, geizer, 20+ something, parking lot cred. amongst the fast Ford crowd. :)

anyway.. only 1 mans opinion.

To Answer your specific Questions! - feels more like an everyday car when driving; seating room difference is massive in the skyline.

Want to buy one ;) one lady owner before I bought it. 18" alloys, kakimoto exhaust, Apexi Air; no other mods.. 60K miles... although good example in good nic not looking for top dollar.
