Hi everyone, i last left a post when i was looking for a 300zx tt.

I am now the proud owner of a MINT condition stock 300zx with 59K miles.

I love everything about this car and i don't think i will have another car that is not a 300zx again. I have wanted this car since i was five and now i am 21 and have my 300zx twin turbo dream a reality. I am interested in becoming a member too. Saw someone in stock last weekend in his Z and he flashed me kindly. I got the automatic as i was getting stressed with looking for a good condition manual. My wife (who hates cars) actually loves it but says the only reason is because its a semi convertible and she can get out of junctions alot easier hehe. anyway i was wondering what kind of miles you could get out of a full tank without thrashing it? Alo i have a wierd noise coming from my zed. The engine and turbos are fine and i followed your guide when viewing this Fairlady but this noise is confusing. when i start the engine it starts first time evrytime without fail or hesitaton. no noises what so other but after i have driven somewhere and come to a stop there is kind of like a lurping noise coming from either side of the car right next to the doors?????

it didnt make the noise last night which had me baffled but i noticed that my hicas light stays on some mornings ( some not) until i start driving. After reading this i though maybe the fluid is low. steering is still light but i was wondering if this slurping is the hicas trying to get some fluid from the front of the car? Like i said last night it didnt do it and when opening the bonnett it doesnt come from the engine. it doesnt seem to be bad at the moment however i would like to get it done now to be on the safe side

yeah i will subscribe just sorting out money as although i can afford the car i had to clear my savings to get it so until pay day tommorrow i cant do anything hehe. but i can allways email you tho. ^^

Aye wouldn`t have a prob with that its just that i`m not a fan of making contact details public especially on a car site, would be the first place i`d look if i was gonna rob one, which is a point..if you put pics up maybe an idea to blur out your reg plate as it`s easy to find locations via such things now, call me paranoid but i`ve known some dodgy types in that game and know how they operate, you never know who`s looking fella, anyway when your sorted p.m me etc can sort you out with a copy of the manual for your motor which will help you with issues such as lights elecs etc.

I just filled my tank today - 65litres = 295 miles :wack:

I did the same (well 298 miles  ) last weekend on my way back from the Lake District. Not bad since I stuck at just under 100 most of the way

That's not usual though - I normally see 230 at the most from a tank. (stock-ish UK spec auto TT)

Richard :)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Hello and welcome to the club. Your car looks good.

I was 21 too when i got mine, insurance tip for you - put your dad as a second driver, saved me £400

How do people get more then 200 miles out of their tank??? Do i just have a really heavy right foot?

well i don't live with my dad and don't know him really so cant do that. i have my wife as main driver with 10 years no claim bonus and 15 years driving experience. but paid more coz she had a accident this year. would of got it cheaper but got it £1400 in the end coz of her mistake

Looks like a nice car Damien, I'll be back in Essex (Westcliff-on-sea) when I get back to the UK in 1 week 3 days 3 hours and 24 mins - not counting really.

Mileage, about 250 to the tank, got 160 once but mostly slow trips to work down the A127 so not ideal. Average was 19mpg over a year. My justification is that there is little depreciation. If you bought a new car you'd be loosing 000's per year, more then we spend on fuel.

I know what you mean about these cars, you're lucky you can get one so young, I had to wait until I was 28 until I got mine. Love it though, I wonder if I'll ever not own one.

crap i didnt cover plate...........help

Edit the image and save it under a different name, then edit your post and change the name to the new edited image.

Just copy it into paint cover the plate save it, then go to photobucket and download it into there, then copy the image code and put that code in instead of the one you have done at the moment. Very simple i just don't make it sound like it is. :wack:

Aye and do it soon!already know your tax is due on the 1st of march next year and that`s just from looking at the pic and you can`t see your disc! the wheelie bin and gate also give clues as to house numbers etc.Looks very nice by the way well done that`s really low mileage for a 90

Christ,I`m lucky then! last long trip in my tt got me bout 400miles out of a full tank,we were taking it easy though just cruisin at 70-80

I,ve told you before,

It dosen't count when it is on the back of the AA wagon.

Only joking, I get around 200 to a tank but that may go up as Paul at SWZ found a small fuel leak. I usually end up putting around 50 litres in though so probably not a full tank in that equation.

Welcome to the nut house by the way buddy.

Darrell

nice car damien, thanks for that info mattymoo have been wondering how to add pictures nice one!
