Maybe youve just got the wrong Zed, Give me that one free of charge, and buy yourself a new one. ya see how much of a helpfull friend I can be? :D

Do you have a lot of play on you Gear shift?

Got to remember she's an old girl now and things like bushes etc through out the car are ready for replacing. The other thing you have to remember though is what else could you buy for the money with this kind of performance.

yeah, these cars kinda do that soemtimes..really test your patience. as mentioned before the car is a fair few years old and some problems have to be expected, but the experience of driving it out weighs it

Yes your right men, shes an old girl, but i does love her, just s] a bit tired .....................................lol :( & yes your right, just need her right..................................................NOW LOL :)

once you get them right they are the most reliable you can get really tbh

Absolutely right Paul. I do not know if I have been lucky or what but I am on my third Zed and all have been great. The first one I bought off Ebay without seeing in the flesh from a guy in Belfast. a slippery b+++++d he was and a well known drifter too, a bit of a Luney. The auto gearbox was suspect and me and Jimmer did a manual comversion after which it turned out to be a great car, and I drive them hard, on the track and on the road. The same now with my latest Zed, it gets the same treatment up and down to Derby from Bristol on a regular basis in less than 2 hours. I cannot resist them although with 18" wheels and shallow rubber they are a bit harsh. That said tho' reliability wise no probs, but you must keep on top of fluid checks etc., but what a rewarding drive, totally worth the expensive mpg. :)

yes your right, have you got any petrol so i can burn this s bitcgh bastaard :))))))

Hang on in there , we've all been down this road! could be something simple. I felt the same way when my autobox went couple of months back, throwing a few grand at it now to get it manwelled.

The z can test your patience sometimes, but it's the love-ability that always gets us back behind the wheel. I don't think the designers in their wildest dreams could've imagined it would be still around today and still as popular as the when the first one rolled off the production line.

i know how you feel, if they go wrong or somthing isnt right it makes you feel so down its unrealy. Yet when they magically self repair (like mine seems to...) and they are suddenly the most fantastic machine ever. Friday night and saturday-day i had written an advert for mine, shortlisted its replacement and had checked out insurance.... went for a drive and it was perfect... Short listed cars in the bin.... again!

Boy i know that feelings!!! bought mine NA a year ago and to begain with all i had was problems up on problems, was afraid to took the car out sometimes just incase somethind goes wrong so i take it to SWZ PERFORMANCE and paul cert it rright out for me...Now shes fun to drive, looking good and i want to upgrade to a twin turbo so all the best with certing yours out...IT WORTH IT.
