hi guys im new to the site i after buying a 300zx twin turbo manual uk spec.

how reliable are the engines? i had a look at them and i noticed it quite tight under the bonnet! do they have any cooling issues? how many miles are the turbos good for etc?

are the uk models mapped for 95 ron?

any help would be much appreciated

Yes the uk car's can run on 95 ron, no cooling issues that i know of.

many of the uk ones have had new turbo's by now.

welcome to the site buddy, i run mine on 99ron if i can gewt my haqnds on it, althoughuk cars are ok on 95 untill you start to tune them, some can have cooling issue's, is it auto?, my uk car has about 135000 on the clock and has oringinal tubs (touches wood lol)

If serviced and kept on top of they are very reliable and a joy to won but if left to fend for itself and generally abused it will empty your pockets faster than a women with a shopping addiction :)

cheers guys havent actually got it yet getting it in nov when i get back from iraq, at first was put off them due to people telling me if something went wrong the whole engine had to come out!!! but i was woed by the looks!! how tunable are the engines on standard internals?

The engine does have to come out if your turbos fail. Good for up to 400bhp on standard internals but there is a common fault in number 6 cylinder when you start cranking up the power.

many of the uk ones have had new turbo's by now.

 

....and sills, box, sections floors etc. ;)

 

Welcome. There have been 2 very tidy UK spec Z32s recently on here by the way, so there are still tidy un-rotten low mileage ones about if your persevere.

who you with buddy in Iraq?? If its a Jap auto get a gearbox cooler put on asap as it will die and cost you your bonus!! Mine did!!
