anybody had any bother with these? I bought these for the front and rear of my zed along with green stuff pads, the front pads lasted about 4k and when I changed them I noticed the discs had loads of small cracks round the middle of the braking surface, has anybody else come across this? theres a lad with an R32 gts-t that brings his car into my place for any work and I fitted endless grooved discs a few months ago and his are fine, are ebc poop?

:x: ........**** it - yeah I've seen this before. Some on here swear by EBC, I deffo do NOT lol

I had a new pair of EBC front discs for my prelude once and they buckled almost straight away. I was told they were probably from a "bad batch" but i had no chance in getting my money back as i bought them from someone on a honda forum.

When they aren't part of the bad batches i have heard they are great!

I've had these discs on mine for about 3 years now with no trouble and found them to be really good. However when I first had them fitted I used green stuff pads and they were utter sh1te. When I changed the pads it made a world of difference and considering the size of the discs and the weight of the car I think they do well.

EBC on mine with standard pads and been fine for nearly 3 years....Drive with a bit of anticipation!!

Are 3G discs any better?

IIRC 3G are machined from brembo casts and 3G manufacture the slots/grooves/drimples into them.

I have 3G slotted on the rear.

mine warped after a 6 months, had them skimmed and now they are starting to warp again :( They look good that's about it

what pads are you using?

Hawk pads, loads better than the EBC's IMHO and really good value. I bought them from Z Tech originally but I think quite a lot of places do them now.
