I wanted + would of gone to grafham, last sunday.Never been(only recently got a zx + joined club).

But i was at a 'family bbq+birthday thing'+ just couldn't not go.

I'm not phased by bigger/flashier/better z's/whatever, as i appreciate others take on things.

Thers also always a quicker/faster one,i run a 205at the wheel bhp bike........and regularly get blown away, although admittedly not often.lol.

I try to get to a few meets but got to admit i always find my car looks naff next to the rest lol

Major problem is that it would appear most people's zeds melt in the rain and with this being the UK, dry days are very few and far between ;)

It dosen't melt in the rain it just seems to want to go sideways.

I try to get to as many meets as I can. The misses and I enjoy getting out and meeting some like minded people.

It's always good to see what people have done to there cars and perhaps get some ideas. I'm not really into the camping anymore however so don't really go for the weekend or bigger meets. Perhaps next year.

Do have to say that it has been a disapointing summer of non events though. We did end up at a meet all on our own one weekend.

yes and thats bloody annoying when folk add their names to the list and just do a no show. I have been guilty of it myself once, with good reason, although im sure others have good reasons too, however if you are not 100% dont put your name down ffs. I will certainly not do it anymore.

I know of a couple of members that put their names down and just cant be arsed or had no intention of going in the first place. Its not fair on those that do go and end up on their own and its down right bloody, rude and ignorant.

I think ive attended all the meets that I have put my name down for but I see the same half a dozen or so old faces at our local meets when the membership base for our area is quite large. I also feel that the weather shouldnt be such a big issue as theres always somewhere local that you can get out of the weather into if not at the venue itself

will be replying shortly John.

Hey!!! Less of the old!!! ;) :D

take it your at Squires tonight John?

Meets have cost me a bloody fortune in aftermarket parts, there's always something you never new you wanted on someone elses car!!!!

some people dont like sitting in a car park for hours chatting....

some people have lives and families outside the forum.....

some people cant be arsed to go to meets .......

some people cant afford to travel loads to meets ..........

some people are 'too good' for everyone else.......

then you get the people who love being around people, going to meets, and or helping to organise them come rain or shine

I reckon everyone falls into one of those groups ;)

lol, a mate of mine nailed her a while back

as much as love meeting zed heads for a chat i tend to put it second place to biusness, home, family and paying the bills :)

I would have been to more meets than I have if it wasn't for the fact that most weekends I'm fully booked up on my other jobs. Such as Dads Taxi's, Dads plumbing, Dad's pet Ambulance, Dad's rugby coach, Dad's assistant Grooms man, Dad's Joinery services, Dad's Gardener, Dad's Chef and Bank of Dad.

Which is why i like are little Nurberg Trips and such like because I'm too far away to be caught up in my families organisation.

i hate travelling, any further than half hour and its a no for me (personal reasons)

you never mentioned you suffer with the old farmer giles (piles) mate

When's the next Midlands meet..... I want to meet you all

Zeds fixed and raring to go

How about Sunday lunch at a pub ? Like it was at the Stonebridge just before I got my Zed ?

Or at the Boat in Catherine de Barns ?

Any takers ?
