lightnend flywheel, new injectors bigger tubs, better chip... another pint...

You'll be needing a new clutch soon then with them mods. A Standard clutch will fade very quick once you start uping the boost.

morning all

ive been running 14/15 psi since i bought the car 4yrs ago and the clutch started to slip before i took it off the road.so i bought a 6 puck paddle clutch which i still need to fit. as for the chip i bought it off 300zxtubs the other day not recieved it yet but apprently it is a dne by or is a cecil racing chip (stage 2)

hello bud,

go for bigger brakes all round not just the fronts!! sort out your handleig aswell, if your going to go for a lightened fly, make sure its not ally. it could just worp on you with all that heat generated

hi,

thanx for your reply! i have coilovers and a stillen hicas remover already on the car i had to replace the coilovers last year after a seal went on the rear. The only upgrade on the brakes so far is vented brake discs is that enough?

was thinking of getting 1 of them brake slave cylinder stoppers but not heard if they are any gd ?

any1 heard of the chip??

Nope !

AS for brakes they are vented anyways mate but the Cylinder stopper seems to help mattters some ;)

When you fit the clutch deffo do the flywheel, it's no charge to fit whilst the box is off, RPS Flywheels are gauranteed the life of the car and are fully rebuildable, ask Danny at DTA for a price. JWT ones about a 100 quid cheaper are also very good!

As for the 6 puck though, just be aware this is a paddle clutch, so it's either on or off with no middle ground. The disc will also not last along as an organic disc will and be more expensive to replace in the future.

im abit confused this is my old spec. and i have managed to run on the rollers 360 bhp at 326 ilbs of torque as far as im aware the ecu at the time was not chipped. but after reading a thread in the forsale section where a jd chip is for sale the guy is only reaching 365 is this possible with out a chipped ecu?also with the new spec am i going to see any difference??

mods ive dne:

old spec

de-cat custom made exhaust

air filter

dumpvalves

hard pipe kit + samcos

manual bleed valves 15psi

new spec

de-cat custom made exhaust

twin air filters

dumpvalves

hardpipe kit + samcos

chipped ecu

apexi avc r boost controller

koyo rad

front mount intercooler

The chip isn't going to give you anymore bhp but upping the boost will. You need the chip for fueling and the JD chip that I am selling is good for 400bhp. I ran 365bhp with 379lbft which is very good on standard intercoolers and injectors (& a screwed bottom end). With your new set up with the extra cooling may add a couple more ponies but I doubt it'll be noticeable.

ok thanx, i was confused in thinking maybe the ecu had been chipped in my car all along to reach that sort of power. not knowing you could run that much on a standard ecu. ive already upgraded the suspension with coilovers and a hi-cas remover think the brakes should be the next step but theres so many opsions ??

its a zed, you will soon be on first name terms with your bank manager

i know wot you mean the zed's bleeding me dry  waiting for my lotto numbers to come in to save me lol

Unorthodox lightend pulleys will help you rev, less weight and drag for the engine to spin, also dumping the air con to loose the pump will give you less drag on the engine
